Audrey Hepburn's style has always been described as timeless — and apparently, we can say the same thing about her corporeality. Hepburn passed away in 1993, but her likeness has been used to sell all manners of products, from Gap jeans to those ubiquitous two-tone prints at IKEA…and now, Galaxy has used a CGI-rendering of Audrey to sell chocolate in its latest ads.
In the minute-long commercial, computer humanoid Audrey-bot ditches her bus alongside the Amalfi coast to ride in the back of some random hottie's convertible and rewards herself with a piece of chocolate — uncannily cheeky and sassy in the way non-bot Audrey characters usually are. Hepburn's children, Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti, apparently sold her image to Galaxy, stating that their mother was a chocolate fan and would have been "proud" to be in the ad. (I've read that, one piece of dark chocolate a day)
Says Galaxy's tagline, "Why have cotton when you can have silk?" We add to that, "Why have any old C-list actress sell your chocolates when you can have Audrey Hepburn, exhumed and CGI-tized?" (Jezebel)
