Julien Donkey-Boy (Harmony Korine's best film. Gummo SUCKED!!!)

In the Company of Men (a MUST see for all white men)

The Passover Plot (a weak film, but an excellent secular look at the life of Christ)

After Hours (one of Scorsese's best films--and no one has seen it!)

Cocksucker Blues (The Rolling Stones UNCENSORED! Check Ebay for copies!!)

Everyone Says I Love You (one of my favorite musicals, and possibly Woody Allen most joyous film)

The Edge of Seventeen (Yes, I'm straight...and I ADORE this film!)

Dangerous Liasons is an excellent movie, but barely anyone that I know has seen it.
The Fifth Element is an awesome sci-fi flick, but it was largely ignored.
Under The Cherry Moon...well...you all know...

after hours and killing zoe that were mentioned earlier were awesome.

the elder brother's warning - a documentary about a group of natives columbians who live high in andes who feel like western civilization is younger brother and it their (older brother's) warning to us.

amelie of montmartre - maybe more popular in europe, but here in the states, it came and went fast.

I wouldn't say the second one is shit, its had a lower budget, no discipline, a thousand times more pulp, but is more intense colorful and funny/perverse than the more mannered first.

Have you seen " Valmont " ?? It was filmed around the same
time and I believe they were both in cinema's at the same
time too.

Like Dangerous Liaisons, this film is also based on the
Choderlos deLaClos novell " Les Liaisons Dangereuses".

It stars Colin Firth razz amongst others and it's a pretty
damn good film. It's a bit darker and more toned down than
Dangerous Liaisons.

However, no one went to see " Valmont " since DL has such
a star studded cast and got most of the attention. It made
people completely ignore " Valmont ".

I didn't know about " Valmont " until I happened to see my
mother watching it on tape. I was like "Huh? This is the
same story as....".

I don't know which one I prefer. But it's always nice to
see Colin Firth/Mr Darcy in a film.
