There were a couple gorgeous black women stars of the time... with looks...(kinda comparable to the few truly gorgeous white/other women of the era on FILM and not just TV) Dorothy Dandridge and Josephine Baker come to mind... Lena Horne as well..although she was horribly refused some great roles of the time.


Ruby Dee comes to mind as being among the best of them.... maybe start another thread... unless moderators take it down as "race baiting"instead of compare/contrast with very REAL disparities back in the day.

i just the other day read an issue of a comics anthology called 'now' that includes a short story which posits a fictional history of space flight on planet earth. in it, heddy lamarr's patents are integral to the progress of interstellar space travel...i had no idea....
