[Edited 12/7/17 0:54am] George Miller's movie sounded awful. The villain puts nanobots in the food he serves at his fast food restaurant and then flips a switch turning everyone who's eaten there into a mindless zombie who causes havoc, leading to the Justice League to come in and stop them. I'm not saying that the Justice League we got has a MUCH better story but it is better than that. Marvel movies which are part of the MCU definitely follow a formula but they're generally good with the exception of Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk, and even they are better than the Transformers. So if it's not broke, don't fix it. And I don't know if it's accurate to the comics or a parody of them because I've never read a comic book in my life. So I don't care if it's a parody. And I'd bet very few people who see the movies care either. Sometimes it's OK to just go see a movie with the intention of being entertained for 2 hours. DCs, or more accurately, Warners problem is that they seen how successful Marvel has become and rather than spend time developing their characters like Marvel did, they went ahead and rushed out a Justice League movie without building up the team first. Half the League didn't have solo movies of their own so they needed to be introduced in the JL movie itself, thereby restricting the story they were able to tell. Hopefully they get it right in the future. Ben Affleck has been a really good Batman so far and Gal Gadot could potentially be as linked to Wonder Woman as Christopher Reeve is with Superman. All they need is to have someone come in to write and direct the movie without the studio getting involved. But if these superhero movies aren't your thing, I'd recommend Logan if you haven't seen it. Easily the best X-Men movie since X-2 (which isn't saying much, I suppose). It's worth a watch just to see Wolverine stab a man in the head. [Edited 12/7/17 1:25am]

Yeah, George Miller is a great action director but a shit story is a shit story, regardless of who's directing. Fury Road was great but it didn't have a shit story. It had no story. Movies like Fury Road and The Raid work because there's no attempt at telling a story. They let the visuals speak for themselves. But to have an actively bad story, as would have been the case in George Miller's Justice League, there's no amount of great action scenes that would make up for that. I actually think I could have done without the cursing in Logan. It made it feel that bit more childish but I liked the movie as a whole. Out of interest, who do you think should have gotten the Batman role? Considering they were going for a more grizzled version of the character, I think Ben Affleck did a great job with what he had. Although personally, I'd have made the character a bit older and cast Mel Gibson. But who would you have went with?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (ended up playing Thomas Wayne and since everything is pointing to "Flashpoint" for "The Flash" movie he'll end up being him...) O(+>NIИ<+)O

Josh Brolin would have been ideal if he wasn't already under contract with Marvel. I think Ben Affleck was hired in the hope that he would also direct the solo Batman movie but as has been discussed here already, Warner don't seem to know what direction to go in so maybe it would be better for all involved if Affleck was to move on to other things. He doesn't seem to be enjoying himself so I think they should probably kill Bruce Wayne in the solo movie and have Dick Grayson take over as Batman. That way they can bring a younger actor in and persue whatever new direction they want to take the series in.

I saw it last week
I thought it was so cool to see all the superheroes together on screen but honestly the movie was flat out boring until the last 30 minutes.i had to fight to stay awake.my eyes kept wanting to close.im shocked at the reports of the green lantern being in the movie.i must've missed that Very cool seeing Prince and David Bowie on the big screen though [Edited 12/7/17 14:02pm] [Edited 12/7/17 14:02pm]

After he dies his ring comes off and flies away. I kind of had the opposite feeling to you. The last 30 minutes is what I found to be less interesting. It kind of just followed the same template as Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman where the heroes take on a CG villain. I liked the interactions between the characters and I much prefer this version of Superman to the miserable one in Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice. Danny Elfman bringing back the proper Batman theme and incorporating the John Williams Superman theme was a major highlight for me, as was the opening scene where it showed Gotham City looking the way Gotham City should look. Makes me want to see a full on Batman movie set in that world without any CGI distractions. Just use Jared Leto's Joker and maybe Harley Quinn as the villains and they're onto a winner. Especially if they include more fights in the style of the Arkham games like they had in Dawn of Justice.

My initial reaction was that Star Wars OG trilogy will hopefully finally get a proper release on blu... But then I thought about Jackman and Steward retiring their characters... Even though I loathe the MCU, Disney aquiring Fox would be a step towards a huge MCU and a perfect opportunity to start a proper MCU... Just imagine "Logan" with Hulk as it's supposed to be... Finally saw "Justice League" on Saturday night. The only time I even smiled was in the beginning...the newspaper shot of Bowie, Prince Superman. Other than that... Crisis on Earth X was better, and even that was super cheesy. Blow the franchise up, try again... Make it so, Number One...

Dawn of Justice was butchered upon release but the directors cut is a much more cohesive film. Suicide Squad is another movie that reeks of studio interference and the Justice League movie changed directors 3 quarters of the way through production AND the studio were too involved in the final edit. So far the most successful movie has been Wonder Woman and I don't think it's a coincidence that it's also the movie with the least amount of studio meddling. What Warner Bros need to do is hire a writer and director and just leave them to it.

I do have some issues with the movie, hated the opening and the song they used "Everybody knows". Don't care for Jason Moamo as Aquaman though I'm glad they made him strong. Hated them always pointing out Batman has no powers every chance they had. Hated Flash's out fit. Hate the actor for Lex. Very unclimatic when Superman came back from the grave (Superfriends did a better job with the death of Superman). Don't like Batman's outfit. Best thing of the movie is Wonder Woman. Like Cyborg though wish he was still more a little naive.

Guessing this is the directors cut for Dawn of Justice Oh hahaha. I totally misread that as a director's cut of the JUSTICE LEAGUE film. Sorry. I was sneaking peeks at work. I didn't think SVB DOJ was bad at all except for the stupid uncharacteristic Winger Woman theme music that jumped in and killed the consistency ♫"Trollin, Trolling! I didn't think SVB DOJ was bad at all except for the stupid uncharacteristic Winger Woman theme music that jumped in and killed the consistency I liked the version which was released but I'll never watch it again after seeing the extended version. The longer running time adds scenes that cut out certain plot holes and character inconsistencies plus there's no censorship during the scene where Batman takes on Luthor's goons so the fight takes on a much more bloody and violent tone. Which was THE highlight of the movie for me. All of the DCEU movies have redeeming elements (but Suicide Squad has a lot less of them than the others) but none of them have been as good as they should have been. Rather than hitting the reset button on the entire thing, I think the best thing to do is for them to take a step back and rethink a few things. Bringing in the writers of the Batman Animated Series would be a great start. Maybe also focus on smaller scale battles. Instead of the whole world being in peril in every movie perhaps they could do a smaller scale Batman movie set entirely in Gotham City with just Jared Leto's Joker as the villain. Start off with smaller movies and gradually build up to another Justice League.

Would have rathered her traditional outfit but it was OK. And the Joker wasn't in it enough for me to really form an opinion on. I'd like to at least see him take on the lead villain role in a Batman movie so then we'd know for sure if he was good or bad. Jared Leto is a good actor though so I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But as far as Suicide Squad goes, I think it was a major misstep and aside from Harley Quinn, I'd rather forget that it even existed. I hated Will Smith in it. I hated the villain and the actress who played her and I didn't like the role the Joker played. Either have him as the main villain or don't have him in it all.

He (the joker) was intended and excised for being too gay and non threatening and unintentionally comical. Hence those needlessly LONG shots in that action scene with the prunes. It was extended for time and didn't feature many close ups which makes me believe it was a last minute decision to put will Smith in it for longer length. A true sign of shitty extension and editing. I think they realized they had a piece of crap on their hands. Either that or it was the greatest film every and what we saw was all an elaborate sabotage ♫"Trollin, Trolling!
