I think your misunderstanding what he's saying. Many people are saying they hope it's not Laci Peterson, but it really doesn't matter because it is tragic regardless of who it is. Laci Peterson's life, and that of her child, are not more or less valuable than anyone elses. I think 00769BAD is just trying to illustrate that point. It is a tragedy, regardless of who it turns out to be. Peace.

Okay, everyone chill. This is getting out of hand. We all agree that this is truly sad. No need for all the fueding.


I watched the Dateline story about this last night, and I just balled my eyes out. Laci Peterson reminds me so much of the girl I'm in love with, that it really struck home. How could anyone commit such a foul act? How could her husband cheat on such a wonderful woman, so full of life? I know I shouldn't take a story about strangers so personally, but I do. I'm really just crushed about the state of humanity right now.

And if you ask me, IMHO, it was the husband. His motive? Laci found out about his affair and probably was gonna divorce him and he didn't want to have to pay child support.

I do sort of understand what Aaron is saying, though. I mean I feel that it is a big deal. But I'm sure this has happened with other women and they get no as much attention as Laci did. Why is it she's the only one that gets/got that much attention.

I can see all sides of this - wanting it to be her, not wanting it to be her. Understanding the amount of news coverage, not understanding the amount of news coverage. I'll just say that I wish all missing person cases could get such pub. I wish we had an Amber Alert system for everyone, no matter the age.

Nobody knows where Scott Peterson (the husband) is right now, he's been "away" for a while apparently. But with this case getting national exposure, hopefully most people know what he looks like & IF he is connected to her demise that will definitely make it more difficult for him to run or hide.

Most of all I'm just overwhelmingly sad @ the whole situation. Like JediMaster, the current state of humanity is tearing me up...
