LOL. But on a serious note, I am absolutely amazed at the millions of adults who now type "loose" when they mean "lose".

As an Old, I remember the early days of the internet. And I clearly remember when it was a running joke to type "loose" for "lose" on purpose - usually when you were trying to troll someone by pretending to be stupid.

Somehow though, a couple of generations of adults now believe that the act of placing something somewhere you cannot find it is spelled as "loose". I guess you just cannot overestimate the power of the internet.

While I'm being a Grammar Nazi, let me also say that a functioning adult should NEVER say or type the phrase "I seen". You seen NOTHING! You SAW it. Only use "seen" when preceded by "have" as in "I have seen the International Space Station fly over and it was incredible!"

I have seen the International Space Station fly over and it was incredible.

OR

I saw the International Space Station fly over and it was incredible.

Thank you. Now I'm going to yell at some teenagers who are dangerously close to my lawn.

i always hated how lose was spelled

because i too use to spell it 'loose'

as in 'that's how you spell choose'

this one always makes me giggle: it is not "nip it in the butt", it is "nip it in the BUD" this is a term used for gardening, when we clip back undesirable growths on plants. thank you, that is all
