Will & Grace: RIP (Spoilers for fall finale) Generic discussion
First, there is a show coming around Christmas, and they'll be back after the holidays.
Tonight's episode was one I knew was coming. But I was very curious as to who they would handle it. But I think Karen's reaction was the thing in which I was most interested.
The Will and Grace b-story seemed like it didn't belong, which is unusual for the show, especially this season. While sometimes the characters are divided and pair off for different storylines, W&G's just seemed out of place in this particular episode. It would have fit better in its own show as an a-story.
I really don't get why Lorraine Finster was in this episode. She didn't fit in the situation and truly seemed like filler.

For those that don't know, Shelley Morrison has retired from acting and chose not to return to play Rosario Yolanda Salazar, Karen Walker's maid, and friend. They didn't just want to have her character already dead, which is why there were references to her throughout the series this year. So in this episodes, Rosario had a heart attack which she was going to recover from at first. Then there were complications and Rosario passed away. The bulk of the episode is Karen dealing with grief, Jack trying (and failing) to comfort his best friend. Will & Grace argue over Will renting the office space next to Grace's studio so they can knock down the wall and expand their business space. Grace feels he should have consulted her first, and it's a constant "this is not the place, but..." joke throughout. Grace does reference her mother (played by the late Debbie Reynolds) dying.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |
