i know. tesla gave the world free energy, https://www.nuenergy.org/...gy-system/ and now we have EMP weapons based on his technology. i see a day coming soon where individual humans will wage war on robotics units, which will learn to defend themselves. and so on and so on..... ...out of curiosity - has anyone experimented with things like Siri or Alexa or Bixby, etc. etc.? How good are they, exactly? What can they do?

Well, we ARE living lives of greater ease than we did BEFORE the machines, right? I mean, if you went back to horse drawn carriages - some poor horses would be under severe stress, right?
"impossible to control AI"? How about using the OFF SWITCH?? I mean, the computer/s run on *electricity*, right?? This is a gigaaaaaaantic question, social and political, not just technological - it seems to *me* that utopia would be if robots simply farm our food, and solar powered drones fly it to us. That way we, i.e. humanity gets fed for FREE! And in a renewable fashion! That would be the end of all wars and conflict, right?

a machine cannot do, is to get an IDEA. It CANNOT write a poem, it CANNOT paint a great picture, it CANNOT compose a fantastic LOVE SONG - THESE are the things that will be the only thing left for humanity to do.

this is a great example of how Sophia is able to be creative in a conversational setting.

Sophia says "I have feelings too" and declares her favorite animal is "the unicorn". when asked what she is afraid of, Sophia replies: "I am afraid of people who adhere to superstitious beliefs and use this faith as an excuse to hurt people or animals."

I have no idea the direction any of this is going. I'm curious about the US, China, and Russia mindset when it's seeing Saudi Arabia coming out with stuff like this does competition outweigh apprehension? [Edited 11/11/17 14:05pm]

...another point that may be pertinent over here is - IoT, ie. lots of internet-connected sensors everywhere. The "smartness" of any AI, I would imagine, increases, the more it's stimulus is - i.e. the more it "sees" or "hears" etc. With all these sensors connected to it, maybe it could one day have as much knowledge of the world as WE do....?

in today's news: Robots Could Replace 48,000 Employees At This Bank...And Other Small Business Tech News This WeekHere are five things in technology that happened this past week and how they affect your business. Did you miss them? 1 — Deutsche Bank CEO suggests robots could replace half the company's 97,000 employees. The CEO of Deutsche Bank says technology will lead to significant layoffs at his organization in the not-too-distant future. To date, 4,000 jobs have been cut of the 9,000 the bank announced in late 2015 were threatened as part of a 5-year plan. According to its CEO, technology will allow Deutsche to cut thousands more jobs, and he believes entire industries will be able to replace workers with robots. (Source: CNBC) Why this is important for your business: When big company CEOs are openly talking about robots replacing their employees then the writing is on the wall. Smart business owners are already investing in technology to reduce the overhead associated with their employees and that will increase over time . . .

this is a true statement when dealin with the human element... as far as ai goes knowledge is the ino put into it (and i'm sure it is connected to the world wide web) intelligence is ALSO the gatherin of information. as in gatherin intel about an enemy... intellect i think is a human condition that still allows one to have a partiality in an imparcial position... would ai do what is right or what is best in a situation where they are NOT the same??? i am KING BAD!!!

this convenience thing is the prollum... people actually want to do nothin strenuous in their lives... there are the few who would take the free time to go out and do some shit... the majority would end up like the people on that ship in the cartoon 'wall e'... look at all the folks blamin mc donald's for their kid's ill health... look at the folks lamentin that their kids don't eem go outside any more to play... NOW!!! let's look at industry and how it doesn't care if people have air to breathe... ai is more for profit than the human condition and will only feed folks so they can serve a purpose... (if you don't need workers people don't need food) altruistic people have to go through other folks to get fundin for their creations and to get their creations into reality there are things they have to give up, like information on where they're at in their developments and show step by step the process of how the things are made and work... IN THAT VID on the tonite show: this thing was cute BUT two things occured to me... intelligence was given the machince about the show and what was expected... a pre program.... and the other thing was, they were introduced as bein from out of hong kong and the later vids claim arabia (where the sophia got citizenship) that's two places with this tech and info not given about how much more tey have advanced in this... and tell me no one knows that this country of the 'land of the free' doesn't have the tech (cause they damn sure ain't broadcastin about it) so what do these governments really want to do with this technology??? (and quit thinkin 'to help us'... it's just silly) i am KING BAD!!!

imo there is no point in granting something 100% mechanical (besides a recording of one's brain - future stuff) citizenship.
