Working Out

How much exercise does everyone do? What does it consist of? Do you watch what you eat?

Jogging 3-4 times a week.
Going to the gym in days that I don't jog.
I don't care what I eat, as long as it's tasty. but I try to cut down on junk food.

I work out for about 30 minutes every morning... various abdominal exercises and various light weight lifting.

I ride my bicycle about 100 miles per week... it would be a lot more if I had time.

I eat whatever the fuck I want to eat. smile

I joined a gym 2 weeks ago & I am

REALLY

getting into it! I go almost every other day, either:

Monday-Wednesday-Friday
or
Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday (optional)

I'm feeling much better, feeling MUCH LESS stress, & am in the process of trimming off a few pounds I had added from the physical inactivity I went through due to 2 big snowstorms &.. PNUMONIA..

Also, I LOVE TO ROLLERBLADE.
I'm starting to get back into that now, the only problem is the WIND, which really slows me down & makes blading less fun- I love the SPEED of it.

I'm digging it, because although I've generally had good health & been in generally good physical condition..

I'm about to be in the BEST physical condition of my life!

It's going to be a "challenge" for me not to be out "flexing".. at the beach or where ever..!

heh heh..
!
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

I go to a woman's fitness center called Curves. It's a combination of cardio and weights...well it's more like machines that use resistance. Anyhow, I like it, it's only a 30 minute workout and I go 4 times a week. Sometimes I stay longer...depends how I'm feeling. On weekends I bike ride and roller blade when it's nice out.

As far as eating, I try to watch what I eat but it's hard. I'm not into sweets, I just like to dine out. That's what gets me.

We've got one of those Curves places near me too...I'm thinking about going. Do you think it's better than a regular gym?

I eat a lot of food... but I'm averaging two nights a week with my kickboxing class. I'm kicking ass and by the end of the classes I'm dripping. I love it... at home the other nights, I stretch a lot and have been dancing for 12 years. I jog sometimes... but everytime I go out to do it, I usually just go to the huge park across the street and shoot hoops with the kids wink
Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Early mornings I walk 2 miles before breakfast, with my dog.

When I'm home from work at 16:00 I take the dog out into
the fields [2 mins from home] and go mountainbiking for
about an hour.

Then at night around 21:00 I take the dog on another 2 mile
walk.

That makes for about 2.5 hours of intensive physical work
every day. So I don't really do any sport.

I also try to swim about 2 times a week, but usually it ends
up being just one time. Do about 50 laps and than sit in the
jacuzzi, farting a week's worth of pent up gasss...

I don't have to watch what I eat since I can gulp down some
4000 Kcal a day without gaining weight. But I do mind that
I eat enough fruit, fresh vegetables, wholeweeds etc etc...

As you can see I also exercise my fingers a lot since I
rarely know when to shut the hell up and just keep on
typing

When I first started to go I really missed the gym. But now I have a blast there. The first month I lost 5 inches all around which isn't too bad. What you do is go on a machine for 30 seconds and go as fast as you can, then you get on a platform for 30 seconds and jog in place or whatever, I do jumping jacks to get my heart rate up. And you do this until you go around 3 times. Usually after my third time I'll just do double time on the machines and skip the cario part. If you stick with it 3-4 times a week I think it's beneficial.

Go as a guest to see if you like it. I go with a woman from work and once we get there we own the place! I crank up the music and bring in hula hoops, we make it fun!

Four to Five times a week. Three to Four hours on average.
Generally I do the following:

Cardio-Ellptical machine 25 minutes

stretching-30 minutes

bagwork-punches and kicks knees elbows
conditioning drills
mittwork
sparring
roughly 1 hour and 1/2 for the above

resistance training-1 hour alternating large muscle groups 3 times a week.

ab work 10-15 minutes: V ups, crunches, hanging leg raises with medicine ball, ab roller (variations of each every day)

Kung Fu forms practice- 1 hour.

Sundays I rest and in terms of diet, I tend to eat more carbs and enough fats and proteins to repair and promote muscle growth.

I try to hit the gym 4-5 days a week, doing mostly weights and some cardio. 3-5 days a week I take various martial arts classes as well.

I teach a dance aerobics class three times a week at the local Y. Hip hop & funk based -- choreography is intricate stuff that takes people a while to learn, so your brain is totally engaged. Big fun -- there's also a lot of singing and yelling (everyone in my class can do a good Prince yell. Right now I am using two P songs -- Get Wild & the Good Life.) Before the class I do some weight work -- right now I am doing super slo-mo reps and only 1 set on each machine. Cardio is really important, but you need to continue to add muscle to keep your metabolism going at a high speed. At the end of the class we do pushups, ab work, some butt exercise and a strech.

I ride my bike on weekends and dance whenever I can.

I eat mostly everything I want, but try to make sure I get at least 5 servings of fruits/vegetables. I don't avoid red meat but I don't eat it very often. Don't eat cookies or chips in front of the tv -- most are full of transfats, anyway, and are TERRIBLE for you! Stretch instead. I always always eat breakfast, and try to include protein.

...and then I got a little exercise with orger mltijchr Sunday. That was sweet.

I hate working out. If I have a choice between
a. not eating and getting to sit on my ass and read or talk or org (<--'org' as a verb, nod)or whatever
or
b. eat something awful but have to spend two hours on a treadmill,

I'd much prefer 'a'.

There are no sports I like. I hate excercise classes. I sorta like weight training, but I don't like gyms, so until I can afford a home gym thingie or a trainer to teach me how to use free weights, I'm not doing that either. I might try a martial art or a dance class or something after I graduate. For the moment, though, I walk to the busstop, walk around my huge/hilly college campus, walk back to the bus, walk home from the bus, go to work and stand on my feet/wrestle with dogs/restrain angry cats/clean stuff for several hours, go home and collapse. Fuck the gym, that's my motto. I just live a busy life.

I work out 6-7 days a week for at least a half hour, but often more. When I'm really pressed for time, I'll do 15 minutes of toning exercises.

I don't go to the gym, either. I have lots of exercise videos (check out www.collagevideo.com). The Firm's "fanny lifter" videos are a bitch--meaning, they're tough--but a good total body workout, for sure.

I try to watch what I eat as well, but I do fall off the wagon. I mean, a girl's gotta have that chocolate fix, right?

I run around 25-30 miles a week (6 minute miles) and I lift weights 4 days a week. I also play basketball everyday if possible.

I eat mostly whatever I want, although I have switched to Diet Soda and I avoid the vending machines around work.
