Fortunately for me, I'm old enough to know what kind of movies I will not like.

This applies to me. If it's not a movie I'm watching solely for the Academy Awards (Click, Bad Grandpa, etc.) then it's highly unlikely I'll choose a movie that I could potentially hate enough to stop watching midway. And even the aforementioned Oscar rubbish, I made it to the end so I suppose my answer to the question, "What does it take for you to not finish a movie?" is ... nothing.

I don't know the exact criteria, but I walked out of the theater when I went to see Judge Dredd. I think that's the only time I didn't finish a movie at the theater. Another movie I didn't finish was Lucy....bad directing, horrible script with shitty dialogues, subpar acting.

what does it take for me to not finish a movie? it takes a bad soundtrack, bad filmography (shaky cam especially) and boring characters. i won't hesitate to walk away from/click away from a movie that doesn't hold my interest. i used to force myself to finish what i started, then realized that life is too short to pile one mistake atop another. now i just won't waste my time. i do love watching movies!
