Okay... I just watched this movie, it was sort of similar to the Ring in a way... anyway. I got to thinking that maybe it wasn't very smart of them to even make this movie, as it is based on a man who has a website that shows subscribers live footage of women being tortured and killed in real time. There are a lot of nuts out there and this movie may have given them an idea that they haven't thought of yet. Unless, maybe there are websites out there like this and I don't know about them.

What do you think?

Makes me think about a T.V movie where Linda Blair got raped with a mop. Then a few years later some girl sued the station because someone performed a similar act on her. I think there are people who have already done this and worse(snuff flicks). I haven't seen the movie, is it any good?

this is one of the worst movies i've seen in a long time...

it actually came out before 'the ring' and sorta spoiled 'the ring' for me cos they obviously stole some ideas from the movie that inspired 'the ring...'

there were so many things about 'fear.com' that just didn't make sense to me...one of the main ones--since when does the board of health have to work so closely with police to solve crimes?


as for whether it could give people ideas...well..that's sorta a question that could apply to a lot of movies, music, etc...it was such a sucky movie tho that it would prolly be less likely to have an impact than a movie that someone might actually sit all the way thru...

I watch hardly any movies that make it to the large screen. Or TV come to think of it. I watch about 5 a year. I'm just not a film go-er. Those I do watch, I make sure aren't like the ones you describe.

When I was about 16, I watched 'The Entity' on video over a friends home. It really disturbed me, I had to sleep with the lights on for months afterwards.

More so than whether people will copy films, I think it really does matter how a film impacts and effects a person, rather than causing them to act the film out in some way.

I love a good aggressive film full of gore; for me, it's an outlet. It's one of the reasons I'm so calm and peaceful in real life--all my aggressions are imaginary. It may not work that way for everone, of course...
