I am writing a book of letters to perpetrators of crime. There are many times when a victim does not get to say to the perpetrator of a cime the words they want to say. This can be due to fear of confrontation to that perpetrator, due to the death of the perpetrator, just never having the opportunity, or a myriad of reasons why. Maybe it's been years ago when the crime happened and you want the perpetrator to know how the crime they committed effected your life. Sometimes a part of the healing process is in confronting the perpetrator of the crime - even if it is just done anonymously.

I am hoping that this serves a two-fold purpose: 1. to allow the victim of the crime some closure in saying what they have wanted to say to the perpetrator but have been unable to say until now and 2. if perpetrators of such crime were to read the book, then maybe they can gain some understanding of the impact of their actions on others.
