Sort of off topic, but I did a production of Steel Magnolias last spring and was amazed at the number of men who attended - and enjoyed it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I don't know. I don't think Arnold, Stallone, Statham or Willis have made any chick flicks. But I watched this movie once with my wife, right after were married. I laughed a lot. Does this count as a chick flick?

Yeah. ..with the incredulous and stupid ass 2nd half of the film. I mean. ..the FIRST HALF was BORING as well! ...but at least Kurt came in and shut their yaps! (*free flowing ridiculously masculine Quentin dialogue from these irritating women's mouths) ....if they'd have ended it there it'd be a pretty decent semi horror flick ala CAPE FEAR. ...but the second half was phony feminism with a GREAT CAR CHASE SCENE that unfortunately SHOULDN'T HAVE EVER HAPPENED! !! I'm sure I'm not the ONLY ONE who knew the black chick had a gun from the beginning.....why didn't they just SHOOT HIM!?! Anyways. ..not to get into physics and body types and something ludicrous like BIOLOGY. ...but ....they couldn't have kicked his ass. They should have shot him and spared me the bullshit. but i digress. ..chick flick. - LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN MEET THE FEEBLES (*the struggles and turmoil of being a female star) THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD/LA MOGLIE PIU BELLA TALK TO HER HEATHERS UGETSU SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE LADY SNOWBLOOD 1&2 A WALK TO REMEMBER (sorry...had a thing for Mandy Moore, talented 1/3 that wasn't a flooze in the 00's) ....FRIED GREEN TOMATOES? But I get the feeling these aren't the kind of chick flicks you'd intended. These are actually good [Edited 8/22/17 13:29pm] ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫

I enjoyed the John Travolta/Zak Efron Hairspray. Here are at least five chick flicks I liked.
5. Daughters of The Dust 4. Bring It On 3. Election 2. Hairspray 07 1. Enchanted

Does this count as a chick flick? I don't know if any of the actors you mentioned were in any chick flicks, Kindergarten Cop is probably the closest Arnie has got, but if it's manly men in chick movies you want, I'd say Mel Gibson in What Women Want is a good shout.

I love Steel Magnolias. I wouldn't label it as a 'chick' movie, but anywho..that's my pick.

I looked up examples of "chick flicks" on Wikipedia and didn't like any of those. So I went through my movie collection and found one that could kinda-sorta fit into that category.

i was hoping to include only movies written or directed by women (they're either hard to come by or just not my taste)...i thought of 'wendy and lucy', and while it definitely has a feminine sensibility about its craft, i didn't really think of it as a 'chick movie'. there was nothing about it that communicated (to me) any distinctly feminine emotions or character traits. it felt very asexual to me.
