I've flown great distances. Never saw a flat Earth.

I have friends who've flown around the world, several times. They never saw a flat Earth.

I have friends who've been to outer space. Many times. I have friends who have lived in outer space for months at a time. They have orbited the Earth thousands and thousands of time. They report that the Earth is, indeed, a sphere.

In order to believe a flat Earth theory, you would have to believe that literally millions and millions of people have kept this one incredible secret for hundreds and hundreds of years.

If you believe that, you are not in touch with reality.

If you feel, that due to the rate of the earth's spin, you should feel that movement somehow, have you ever flown? If you have, did you feel the forward movement of the plane (except during take-off or landing) -- but when the plane reached it's altitude and speed and was at a constant rate of movement? You won't feel the movement because you are moving at the same rate of speed. The stewardess can pour coffee and not have it splash in your face because the coffee, the cup, the stewardess, and you are moving at the same rate of speed as the plane. Now if the plane were to suddenly decelerate or speed up, that coffee wouldn't be going into the cup.

If it's due to why the rivers or puddles or lakes or even oceans don't go all haywire and flow down, well, with gravity, down would actually be towards the center of the earth, not south. Earth has mass which means it has gravity. And the oceans, rivers, lakes, puddles are thus attracted to that mass, which means it pushes it down so that it doesn't go flowing toward the bottom of the earth. But in a way it does. Have you ever noticed that rivers don't tend to flow northward?

Also, if you've ever been to the ocean, you do see a slight curve to the horizon. And I've watched a ship appear on the horizon (pretty neat to see) and it doesn't just appear when my eyes can see it, but it seems to come up over a hill. You see the mast first, and then slowly see more and more of the ship appear. If the earth were flat, you'd see the whole ship at one time.

I've also watched a sun set at the ocean, and that thing disappears fast! But it lowers over the horizon, dipping below the horizon, not just get smaller and smaller until you can't see it.

Also, there's the argument regarding the bullet that is shot straight up, saying it shouldn't fall at the exact same spot if the earth was indeed spinning. YES, IT SHOULD, because EVERYTHING around it is also moving in that direction. It did in fact move eastwards but everything else did, too. It's like what you described above, if you throw a ball straight up in a plane, within the plane it lands in the same spot again, because the plane is a closed system. If you look at it from the outside though, it did not, as it moved along with the plane.
