?!? I can't find that anywhere. Nearest I found was a Snopes-debunked report saying the fight was called off because Money was arrested, but it was a prank using footage from Mayweather's 2010 arrest. | |

UFC Calls off Biggest Fight of the Century Due to McGregor’s PED Usage(ESPN)— In a recent press meeting, UFC figher Conor McGregor gave a puzzling response to the questions regarding his use of performance enhancing drugs in order to move up two weight classes. McGregor’s first response to the allegations were that they were “complete trash” but then stated that the only substance he ever uses is a legal performance enhancer called NO2 Boost. While not a complete denial, the UFC has recently added NO2 Boost to their list of prohibited substances. After reviewing the situation, the UFC has been forced to cancel the largest fight of the century between Mayweather and McGregor, as well as potentially suspending McGregor indefinitely.
There is no doubt that Conor McGregor is one of the best fighters in UFC right now, but many critics believe his use of NO2 Boost may jeopardize his legacy. The UFC has banned the substance NO2 Boost for two reasons: 1. After conducting a 3-month clinical trial at Texas A&M, results showed that NO2 Boost boosted participant's muscle growth rate by an average of 150%. 2. NO2 Boost does not have to be used in conjunction with a gym. Whether fighters train or not, they will still see some results (such as increased testosterone and energy levels). The UFC believes that this will lead some fighters to skip training sessions, thus causing more career-ending injuries. ESPN Special UpdateEver since the allegations of McGregor’s substance usage was confirmed, ESPN has received thousands of emails from readers wanting more information about NO2 Boost. In order to understand more about the substance and answer reader’s questions, ESPN decided to test out NO2 Boost in an exclusive study.
