Is it easy to get famous in America? I noticed most celebrities that are talked about, including Youtubers, are American. Is this so because America has more worldwide exposure opportunities than other countries? Or because it's relatively easy to get famous in America - for doing anything? Then again, getting famous in America may have a lot to do with being rich and having connections in the first place... And not specifically having talent...

Honestly I hear these Youtubers has millions of followers but I have no ideal who they are, nor do I care to. Seems like everybody on TV is from another country just using an American accent.

I think part of it is that America doesn't have royals so celebrities have become our royalty...

there may be many that are famous for next to nothing or for being related to or who know someone who is famous but it is not easy to become famous. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

In "trying to get famous" other countries have their own versions of The Voice, American Idol (insert the name of your country), Big Brother, America's got talent (insert the name of your country) and Survivor to name a few.
