Sweeettt! So glad Rob didn't let me down. I'll have to go see it this week! I love classic horror, and I'm glad to see a flick like this get made again. You just don't get classics like Evil Dead II these days! Bring back Drive-In horror!

Yeah!

Go rock out at the movie then come back and tell these fucks to see it!!!

You've got me stoked to see this! From what you've said, its everything I had hoped it would be, but was afraid it wouldn't! I probably won't get around to seeing it until Thursday, but I will DEFINITELY share my thoughts here! Thanks Ice!

The way they set up his hair/beard was quite stylish... but I couldn't find a very good picture of him.

Okay! I saw it this weekend! Ice, you were DEAD ON!!! That's some real classic horror stuff! Good, old fashioned warped shit! Even though it was definitely in the mold of all the classic 70s stuff, it still had a few twists you just couldn't predict. I haven't seen a flick that utterly sick and twisted in ages!

I do hope that we'll see more of this type of thing in the future. Imagine, a horror film that is actually SCARY! Wow! Whatta concept! Pure old school drive-in splatter fest, all the way! It was beautiful! I cannot wait to see the unedited version. I can just imagine how debased the director's cut must be, because the R version is pretty twisted itself.

Now, anyone got directions to Captain Spaulding's Murder Ride? I'm dying to try his fried chicken!!!

Groovy!

I am glad that you liked it. I cannot stress my hatred for movie reviewers strongly enough, as they are giving it bad reviews... they don't know what the fuck they are watching.

i was impressed with the authentic 70's look and style but other than that it was a let down. i was distracted by the attempts at grossing people out rather than scaring us. texas chainsaw and halloween and amityville horror were far less gory and far more scary, imho.

It is a horror film... they need not be understood.

There wasn't really much of a plot though... just some demented people doing horrible things to strangers.

Exactly! Its an explotation flick of the highest caliber! Totaly insanity, and that's all that matters. The only real flaw I saw with the film was that it focused on the family so much, that the audience became rather detached from the victims. the victims needed a bit more screen time, so we could feel their fear a little more (and who knows, the DVD might feature more with them). Still, that didn't detract from the overall effect of this film. It rocked harder than any horror flick I've seen in years! REAL horror, not some watered down shit with actors from the WB running around to a crummy Nu Metal soundtrack!
