Yes... the book was good! The book guy recommended it to me, and after I saw the cover I really didn't want to buy it, but did because he went out of his way to find something for me. It was good... have you read the others in the series, or whatever it is?

I bought two new beds for my kids yesterday and they were delivered today. I went out and bought all brand new bedding for them, and, apparently there is a HUGE problem with what I bought, by their father.

I decided to buy all white... I bought white bed skirts (tailored, as I wouldn't have frills for my son... even I know that), white sheets, and white down comforters for them. Well, suddenly I am this bad person for having my son sleep in white. Is that bad? I planned on taking them shopping next week to have them pick out colorful throw pillows and a colorful blanket to put at the foot of the bed. What's wrong with white for a boy? Am I way off here?

In my personal opinion, I think white is a cute idea, expecially you taking them out and letting them personalize/customize their own extras. That's a great idea and they'll probably be excited! My blankets still don't match right, and I'm 21! It might be a pain bleaching and washing them if your kids are outdoors a lot, if you have pets, etc. Still really cool though.

Another thing: I hope you're not worrying too much about it, because he'll get over it- he HAS to! You're a great mom!

Maybe you could give him examples of white things that boys and men have/wear, to prove it's not a girly-color. Tell him at least it's not pink or purple. AND, the blanket that will go on the bottom? He could drape that over the top if he's so worried about it. In the meantime, tell your ex to shove it up his @$$! Tell him if it's such a prob, he can shell out some more cash and buy the boy a different colored set. I have a feeling that's easier said then done, though. I will think of more ideas, and post them! And let me know how it goes, if you want. He's young, so the angst will be brief, thank God. He'll worry about something else soon.
