The rise of the machines

..OK, so I've posted about this subject before, but.... I still kind of wanted to do it again. Because, to put it bluntly, I'm scared. India is now a matter of months away from Fiber-To-The-Home, ie. cheap-ass Internet, and some/most of you guys may be experiencing it already. So - here's the question:
After all this cool tech stuff that's happening in the world - Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing, Machine Learning, Robotics, Drones, etc. etc. etc. - where will this all end up? Where is HUMANITY going to be in the future? How do you think we'll be impacted (and if you are being impacted right now by it, please Post)?
But let's start with the First, and most basic question (and the reason for my fear): Which Jobs will remain?

I have no answer to that. But someone brought up an interesting fact. 150 years ago 90% of the US population were farmers, today less than 2% are, yet most people have some form of employment. The job requirements shift with time and people adapt. I'm banking that will always be true.

Yeah, that was Bill Gates. It may not be as true now as it was 150 years ago.....

I didn't get it from Bill Gates but you might be right. I've lived long enough to hear the same exact words that the generation before me said flying out of my mouth without thought. And there's evidence that for thousands of years people have said the exact same thing with each passing generation. I know I wouldn't want to be wherever people felt the good ole days were in the past, no reliable sanitation, no air conditioning at all, all require some sort of mechanics to work, so I'm banking on the odds of human adaptability which has basically proven itself as far as I'm concerned. It's a choice I've made in thinking. I made a promise to myself when I was a kid, and it is so hard sticking to it.

I think robots and greater interface with humans will be wonderful in getting better more efficient fast outcomes to routine work and calculus issues. The Baht Master prefers to use a hands on method. Far more satisfying cool
