What happens to the characters in a joke you tell? Actually by telling the joke we create their universe. We are gods to them, creating their surroundings and dictating their actions, and can alter the very fabric of their reality with nothing more than a breath if we so choose. We could tell the joke in a way that would not have her drinking wine, but instead choose to expose the child to the risk of potential issues before it is even born, possibly crippling it for the rest of it's life; usually without ever even caring about the lesser beings's futures and well being. | |
