No, but it has a tuning fork and makes a neat humming noise. Oh, and it runs on mercury oxide batteries, which are now illegal. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

No. If I wanted a laser beam, I'd just buy one of those laser pointer keychains. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I've got a small stash of the mercury cells, all of which were manufactured before they were banned worldwide. Not counting the one in my watch, I've got two left. Once those go, I doubt I'll find any others. So I'll have to try running the watch off a silver oxide battery, which has a slightly higher voltage. It should work okay, although I might have to have the watch "rephased." BTW, the mercury batteries were banned for environmental reasons, and I try to be responsible by sending dead ones to an appropriate facility for disposal. That truly sucks. It wasn't particularly nice, but my dad gave it to me. Sentimental reasons and so forth. I will have to buy a nice watch before I leave for London, though, that's fer sure. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I hear that... my watch used to belong to my deceased grandfather. I'd be pretty peeved if anyone stole it. (Note to self: record the serial number!) Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I have one too, but I'd still feel like I'm missing something without my watch on my wrist. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Truth be told, I have about eight or nine watches lying around unused. I do actually use my cell phone for my time piece.
My favorite of my watches? My solid black Swatch Watch circa 1986. |

I can't find a picture of my Fendi watch, it is similar to this with a silver face which is reversible and has detachable silver pieces on the strap. I think mine has stopped being manufactured as I have only seen the simpler versions now.

I've never owned a watch... that must be why I'm late for everything. Anyway I don't believe in time, Prince told me not to.
