I can't tell how many times I skated right past this thread b/c I thought it was about... you know lol

Anyway, I love a good ceasar w/ a little romano & plenty of fresh ground pepper, a little chicken breast when I'm in a meat mood... Blue cheese is good when tossed & sprinkled w/ blue crumbles drool Red or green leaf preferably - no iceburg or spinach, mixed greens are often bitter IMO...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

my favorite salad is one I've gotten from Noodles and Company it's a spicy thai peanut salad..it has some greans, rice noodles (i think) peanuts, fried tofu (or your choice of protein), cucumbers, carrots, sprouts, peanuts and a yummmy spicy thai-style dressing drool

my second fave is a taco-type salad...perect shell, yummy greens, blackbeans, guacomle, rice, onions, tomatoes, corn, jalapenos and a southwestern ranch dressing...mmmyummmy

oh Martha... i had such high hopes. i've been waiting for you to ask me to toss your salad for a year and a half now, and to think it's just about a bunch of lettuce and shredded up carrots and junk confused

There was a place that I used to go to where I work (before it closed fit) that used to make a great spinach salad that had fruit on it (melons, grapes, walnuts, strawberries) topped with a raspberry vinagrette dressing. lick drool I miss that restaurant, they had the best salads, always very fresh and delicious, and about fifty different salads to choose from, and they would make your salad right when you ordered it). omg

There is a grocery store also close to where I work (let's hope this one never shuts down - lol!) that has a great salad bar. It includes three different types of lettuce, plus just about everything you can think of to put on top of the salad (delicious). I go there now to make my own salad, since the other place is now gone. sad

I like my salads plain and simple. I hate the exotic salad greens, they look like weeds on the side of the road. Salads in big restaraunts tend to not even be a salad at all but rather a big bowl of fries, cheese, bacon, and oil with a lettuce garnish.

i love it when i would see people who claimed to be on a diet order a chicken ceasar salad. that is one of the worst and most fattening things you can eat, largely because of the dressing it is drowned in which is loaded with salt, cholesterol, and fat.

I need a good dish from La Shish. The one and only time I ate there, we had a sampler platter and when we got home, I threw up all over. And it was really bad. I think it was because of all the different flavors and spices comingling in my gut, and someone licking my ear. Still, I'm hesitant to go back. What's good there?

OH NO! sad
Anything chicken is good...the Shish Tawook dinner rocks. It's chicken kabob with rice and salad -- I would recommend that. It's simple, but still tasty.
Did you eat at LaShish in Michigan or do they have them out of state now?

This is the LaShish by my house on Michigan Ave. It's the first one ever! smile
