I can't wait. I love Twin Peaks. I've been avoiding any and all information about the new season in case of spoilers. I haven't even looked at the cast list to see who is returning from the original cast. I want to go in completey fresh. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see the first episode for a week or so due to work and family commitments but rest assured, I'll be basically living on this thread for the duration of the new series.

Now, I'm off to get some black coffee and a piece of pie smile

yeahthat once we found out who killed Laura Palmer ("wrapped in plastic"). I loved the show (made me wanna drink coffee and eat pie), especially the first season and that theme song Falling by Julee Cruise was so haunting and beautiful nod Twin Peaks is a classic and paved the way for shows like Hannibal, Northern Exposure, Picket Fences etc.

OMG the glass box?

The arm?

That thing that chews off faces?

And where's Laura?

So many questions I don't know where to begin.

I'm fully up to date on it now and eagerly awaiting the next episode. So far, this new series seems to be more similar to the Fire Walk With Me movie than the old show. I especially liked the "Blue Rose" mention. Seeing Cooper, the real one, wandering around aimlessly and seemingly not knowing who or where he is is kind of unsettling. But in a good way. It's unexpected. It would have been too easy to turn the show into some sort of nostalgia fest but I'm liking the direction they're taking it. It's still Twin Peaks but it feels different. Yet familiar. It's great to see all the old characters appear in small roles. I love everything about Andy and Lucy's scenes. And, of course, David Duchovney in drag is always a pleasure. smile

How could you not mention Wally Brando?!?

I'm liking this season better than them all.

That scene with the woman with no eyes? Priceless!

Yeah, Wally Brando. Haha. I love the odd humour in Twin Peaks. Although I was kind of hoping that when their son showed up he'd look like Dick Tremayne... Complete with ascot and everything.

The only real downside to the show for me is that Harry Truman isn't in it. I know the actor who played him is retired but a cameo would be nice.

Speaking of cameos, I hope that James and Shelley's appearance in the first episode isn't their only appearance they'll be making. And is she still Shelley Johnson or is she now Shelly Briggs? And speaking of Briggs, who would have thought that Bobby would end up as a Deputy?

I love how every episode of the new series ends with a different musical performance. Some of the music featured on the show has been brilliant, with special mention to the song "Shadow" by Chromatics.

I'm really hoping that James Hurley will perform his infamous song at some point smile

LOL doubtful.

This is a new Twin Peaks. Maybe he'll perform a new song?

This place is way too dead for me. I've been checking out "Obnoxious and Anonymous" over at Youtube. They are obsessive about Twin Peaks, and unlike casual fans they actually love the new season.

I thought there'd be more interest in Twin Peaks here than there is. I'm really loving the new season. The original show is among my favourite TV series of all time and the new season is not just living up to my expectations, it's exceeding them. Easily the best show on TV in years.
