Any Madridians here or people familiar with the city?

I'm going for a few days in August and will grab an Air Bnb.

I just want to know what location to go for. My wishlist is as follows.

Historic buldings.

Centrally located,

Lots of shops, funky bars and restaruants.

Local's neighbourhood, not just a tourist trap.

Easy to get around.

Think, Greenwhich Village or Williamsburg if it was NYC or Angel Islington if it was London.
