a puerto rican man with a heavy accent can talk me into just about anything.

I am from Northern California( Insatiable) and have been gone for 10 years and people still say I talk like I am from there.

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.

You sound delicious! You haven't an accent and you know it!

Okay, so I don't actually have an accent... I am working on developing a thick, stereotypical Southern accent though. I will get there in time.

The next sound you hear will be the dial tone!

*British accents! drool When I was in Minneapolis, my friends and I stopped at a CD store..blah blah we had to but our purses in a lil cubby and when we were leaving we could get them. The guy says to me.."are you waiting for your bags?" lol I just had to say pardon, b/c I wanted to hear him say it again. He was so adorable!*

When I was in the States I would get the same reaction, I would have to repeat what I had just said over and over! I was in Macdonalds and the lady behind the counter just looked at me gobsmacked, and I had to give her my order a few times. I found that a bit odd, surely she had heard a British accent before being in a melting pot of a city such as N.Y. Oh well..You do get lost of smiles which is cool! So I milked it...mr.green Pretended that I had tea with the queen and all that!!!

Funny you should say that. My mum was in Philadelphia and went into a shop and when the woman behind the counter heard her British accent she asked her if it was true that Charles and Diana were splitting up. My mum said that the last time she spoke to the Queen she said that things were OK between them.

The woman then screamed, OMG YOU KNOW THE QUEEN???!!!

lol

I love British (including Scottish) and Irish accents. Domestically, I love Boston and North Central American accents (North Dakotan, Minnesotan, etc.).

All accents have their nice points! You know, the grass is always greener etc etc

The only one I can't stand is the really really nasal sounding American accent. I'm not sure if real people speak like that, it might just be on TV.

I don't really have a favourite accent though... on the right lady, any foreign accent is a bit sexy biggrin
