From a boy to a man..........From a girl to a woman The Change...was there a specific event that occured taking you from a boy/girl to the responsibilities and life of an adult?
When I was handed my Eagle ,Globe and Anchor by my drill instructor for completing basic.I was on top of the world,I was a Marine, those of you that have served in the military know what I'm talking about. When I got my orders a few years later that I was going to the Persian Gulf was it though.Think about that at least once everyday.

You are all sweet.
WIsh I could say that discovering masturbation was the greatest thing about hormones sinking in, but then it would become a POINTLESS thread and get locked down. And I must share that I got sumthing completely else after I got stationed at an AMerican airbase in Holland. You Americans are two faced in many things. Don't ask, don't tell.

Ex-Moderator | I don't think there was one defining moment. Maybe the first night I slept in my fist apartment all alone when I was 19. I don't know. I still kinda don't feel like I'm an adult. |

Moving to Detroit from my small, "Boys Don't Cry"-like town. THAT'LL make you grow up REAL quick. Christ, I'm still recovering...

When I was 17 and moved into my own place... I realized then that I had to become an adult. Been on my own ever since. I am an old soul still acting like a kid though! He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

I've always felt young until recently. With my parents getting older and needing my help for things they used to do effortlessly, it has been a real wake up call and a change in my priorities.

I guess it was when I was old enough to get prosecuted for indecent exposure. I didn't know it at the time, but a little bit of my childhood slipped away...

I feel my childhood slipping away as I read this.

probably when my mom died, my dad and older brother had died previously, and when i realized there were no more adults (or anyone else for that matter) left in my immediate family, i had the stark realization, that childhood was over. ------------------------------------------------
