There's a flick that comes to mind but it did not make me scream or cover my eyes but it was disturbing..It's called Changeling featuring Angelina Jolie....

The original "Halloween". Scariest movie I've ever seen - especially the last five minutes.

it's not horror, but every time i've watched salo (not that i've watched it a lot, but i've seen it a few times) i've had to turn it off for a while and walk away from it in order to recover & regain a little stamina. if i stop and think about one of the scenes, i can actually make myself feel like throwing up. it's definitely the most transgressive movie i've ever watched, and i can't imagine ever sitting through it again. . quite some time ago, at least a decade i'm sure, i saw an amazingly tasteless underground horror film from 2003 called 'mordum' - i believe it's usually called 'august underground's mordum' for some reason. it had built up a bit of a reputation among gore hounds for having very realistic practical effects for a no-budget underground film, & i guess i was kinda into pushing my limits at the time, so i gave it a look. it definitely had a very raw, realistic look, but it had some unbelievably nasty things in it, scenes that are as revolting & troubling as, if not worse than, salo. it left me feeling very bad about having seen it, & i truly regret watching it (why i sat through the whole thing escapes me), and i basically wish i could scrub it from my memory!

It doesn't make me scream, but in Lars von Trier's Antichrist I always look away when Charlotte Gainsbourg's character snips off her bits. I've watched the movie more than once and still have no idea what that particular scene looks like. Nor do I care to. Bleh.

The Ghostbusters reboot. But for entirely different reasons. But seriously, I'd say The Shining. Or more specifically, the scene with the old woman in the bath. One of the most terrifying things I've ever seen.

it's the 70s version of invasion of the body snatchers. i never thought i would recommend a movie to you (i don't mean this to sound pissy or anything, but i really don't want to read one of your funny reviews on aguirre, the wrath of god or dogtooth...). but if you have never watched it, i actually could see you liking that movie quite a bit. bleak 70s sci-fi at its best.
