I'm scratching my head because I don't see what the problem is.
It's not a problem, it just seems - phony, especially with Giada. She moved to the U.S. while still a child, and graduated from school in Los Angeles. She's 47. It's over-emphasized, to me. Bruschetta becomes BROO-SKET-ThAAAH. I don't mind accents or whatever. I actually love language and different cultures. It just seems that some on TV over-do it and it comes across insincere and "hey, look at me, I'm Italian!" I'm in New York state, I can throw a rock without hitting at least a half dozen Italians. They don't sound like Giada's phony ass.

Why don't you just rename this thread, "I hate Giada" and call it a day?

LOL I mean, I was using her as an example. I don't care much for her, obviously. Even that cutie Michael Chiarello or Michael Symon doesn't do it. Meh - it is what it is.
