The Ring: the best chain letter of all time

Just saw this movie over the weekend. omg Wow!

Anyone else like this? Have you seen the Japanese original or the sequels?
How do they compare to the remake?

I absolutely loved this movie. I loved being in a theater that was packed for a good scary movie..the yelling, the screams, etc. worship

I dunno. Until I come up with a new signature. I'm lazy I guess.

The Japanese version is better... this is only my opinion and I might be biased because I saw it first... who can say. I thought that the American version was pretty cool and they avoided most of the typical "Hollywood" cheese that plagues American movies, so I applaud them.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I did enjoy this movie a lot...

my only complaint is that I'm getting a titch bored with the supernatural-thriller-featuring-a-young-kid-who-understands-too-much-or-sees-things-the-adults-don't genre...

I'd like to see the original, I've heard it's much better than the new version

I loved the movie when i first saw it. So i bought it on DVD as soon as it came out. I will say tho, at least for me, this is one of those flicks that is monotonous to sit through more than once. I guess once you know the plot it just all seems to drag along.

The Japanese version is slighty better.
Dunno why.
The US version is REALLY good.
The sequels are downhill. Not bad, but certainly not better than the original.

I thought the movie was OK. The Japanese version was about the same, only with Japanese actors. Scale of 1 to 10. I give it a 6.5

I went out to buy the Japanese original on DVD over here
and when I got to the store they had tons of m at only

$4,-

So I said to myself "at $4 this must be a piece of shit"
and told myself to be content with watching the remake
cuz this might backfire and turn into a second nightmare
like HOUSEOFLEAVES for me if I get
too deep into it.

I watched it again yesterday. I hope they don't fuck up the prequel.
