What do you think about the tv show "Underground"? I've only seen 1 episode in the 2nd season. Seems interesting but I'm not quite sure what's going on, for a minute I thought Jurnee was casted as Harriet Tubman, that threw me for a loop but she's not so I guess I'll look into it further.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I didn't start watching until probably the 3rd episode of the 1st season last year, it blew me away...it was nothing like I thought it was going to be which was yet "another depressing show about slavery". None of that. I actually went back and looked at the episodes I missed and was hooked the rest of the season. Don't get me wrong, there are certainly hard scenes to watch but it is not the whole purpose of the show. You really need to watch the 1st season to understand the current new season. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Agreed! I was hooked from the first show last season. I'm surprised at the lack of awards (or should I be?) Left me on a cliff-hanger last night!!! Style is the second cousin to class

I binged on the 1st Season right after it was done and I LOVED it..You really want to watch each episode and you don't know what's gonna happen....When Chris Meloni said he was part of the Drama I knew the Director & Writer(s) planned to bring it...The casting Director assembled an excellent cast...WGN network delivered the goods with Underground....I wish HBO had snatched it up so the Drama could have a bigger following...

I think they've done a fine job with this show, and if there is any way possible, please go back to review the first season (maybe via Hulu or some other online option?). I think it's crucial to get the back story on the characters and how they got to the point they're at in season 2. Season 1 takes you into the minds and the POV of the slave masters, the slave mistresses, the overseers, field slaves, house slaves, free POC, bounty hunters, abolitionists, with nuances to their stories never really explored before onscreen, and it makes for a very powerful viewing experience . I think the show is so well done it really deserves to have as much pop cultural impact on the American psyche as the original Roots saga. Shout out to University of Pennselvania grad & recording artist John Legend for being one of the producers behind this project, it's quality work...but I think best served by starting from the beginning

When my discs come, hopefully I'll do it right so I'll get 2 together, I'll have to watch the first one binge style and send it back immediately, and savor the 2nd one til the 3rd one comes.

I will definitely be getting the first season DVD, but I just started watching it this season, and so far, I love it. Erin Smith
