Always a fun actor. Sad to hear of his death.

i'm truly sad to hear that.

near dark was a personal favourite of mine.

and frailty, one of only two movies he directed, is really a great film i think. genuinely creepy & moving at times, i think it's really an overlooked gem.

He directed and starred in Barnes and Barnes music video for Fish Heads. Man, I miss the weirdness of the 80s.

One of my favorite Paxton performances is in the little seen, "cult classic" that never quite was - 'The Dark Backward.'

.

Seek it out if you want to see one of the wildest, most unhinged Paxton roles. The rotten chicken scene turns my stomach just to think about it.

He's appeared in many of my favourite movies but my two favourite performances of his are in Aliens and True Lies. His delivery of lines such as "well we're in some real pretty shit now, man" and "She's got a pair of titties, make you want to sit up and beg for buttermilk", among others, make them instantly quotable. Nobody plays Bill Paxton-esque weasels like Bill Paxton.
