I hope so. I've got the Switch, Zelda and a pro controller all preordered for this Friday. Can't wait! But with Lego City and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe both due out in April, and multiple bills due all at the same time, it means I'll have to hold off on Mass Effect Andromeda until a later date, which is frustrating. But I have high hopes for Zelda so that should lessen the blow.

I don't get the excitement tbh. I think the best thing to emerge over next few years will be VR. Playing games like Trackmania Turbo and Wipeout w/ flawless resolution and framerate. Now that'll be something unique!

There is a university in the US, Robert Morris Univ, if memory serves me correctly, which gives SCHOLARSHIPS for gaming! Saw it on TV.

I was really excited about star wars Battlefront until I found out there was no campaign mode. I bought it the other day for 9.99 on the Playstation store purely so I could play the free VR mission. I have no intention of playing it online. Unreal Tournament sounds very good, and I'd trust your judgement when you say it's one of the best games around, but it's just not the sort of game I play. Besides. I'm pretty sure my paltry computer couldn't handle it.

The best Unreal Tournament was the 1999 version. Still holds up today.

Most Nintendo games are classics though so what you said doesn't really make sense...

I'm not sure I've played them. Most of their games are intended for kids- if you're an adult still playing them then you're still a kid GoldenEye was a classic no doubt. And Nintendo deserve credit for pioneering the handheld console, also the analogue control stick.

Nintendo are the Pixar of the games industry. They're games are for everyone, not just children. The Mario games can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. You'd have to be really insecure to turn down playing Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy on the grounds of it being "too childish". Metroid Prime and F-Zero are other Nintendo games which aren't made for kids. Likewise, the new Zelda game, "Breath of the Wild". That's hardly a kids game either. I've read some people's comments on it saying they wouldn't play it purely because it's a Nintendo game. Some people are just insane. You have possibly the best game ever made and people are refusing to play it because of an irrational grudge against the company who makes it. It's just weird. THOSE are the kids you're referring to.

OAPs enjoyed Wii... gave them dementia apparently. So it doesn't mean it was any good. Likewise, some people have taken to Nintendo Switch cartridges, which apparently taste of really bitter lemons. Look if kids are going to resort to tasting their games, then we've really got problems
