Besides, virtually every kid in the school has called her a cunt at one stage or another. It's not considered that big a deal. When I was in 4th year they just stopped disciplining students in my year because suspending them was doing absolutely no good. It's a rough school in a rough part of Dublin. Colaiste Dhulaigh is the name of the school. Look it up. I'm sure you'll find stories that will show you that name calling is the tip of the iceberg. The funniest thing is that when I went there as a student, she was my Irish teacher. Now, granted, I rarely went to that class because I'm a fluent Irish speaker so it's a bit pointless, but I had her for 3 years and she didn't recognise me. We laughed it off later when she was reminded of who I was and she gave the necessary speech on what is and isn't acceptable but it wasn't that serious an issue that I'd need to be escorted off the premises, as you put it. I was asked back this year and up until only a few weeks ago I was going to do it but things have come up which means I won't have time. Maybe next year though. Wow that is really sad!!If the head is being shown that amount of disrespect then teaching staff and the pupils have no chance! You'd think that and conventional wisdom would back you up but since the school got less strict with that kind of thing, especially with the older students (16-18) there was a massive improvement in overall behaviour. When I went there as a student it was not uncommon to have the police show up every once in a while for one reason or another. These days, it's a lot calmer. There's the odd incident, I even had one of my drama students call me a "fucking bimbo" because I got his name wrong, but it depends on how you deal with it. You can't punish these kids because it has no effect. You're better off just laughing it off or, what worked for me, giving a little back in a joking kind of way. The teacher I was helping out gave me a bit of advice early on to just treat the kids as equals, rather than try to appear as an authority figure. That method obviously doesn't work all the time but with those kinds of kids, the kind that associate authority with police, it really does. I actually really enjoyed the majority of my time teaching there.

That indeed sux. I hated five-minute breaks between a random class and a PE class cause I had to go downstairs for the sportswear and then get dressed. No time for bathroom and the teacher would bitch about breaks. We usually weren't allowed to drink in classes either which was annoying if it was 30+ °C outside. full lips, freckles, and upturned nose

Mine is being in Home Depot with husband and telling him rather loudly that I was going to go get a spade only to turn around and see an African Amercian couple right there. Yep, coughed and cleared my throat, made an attempt at groveling and the lady laughed and said, "We know what you meant"
Hubby and the couple were still laughing as I walked away. I wouldn't even go back to where he was either. I waited for him out by the car.

I had Another embarrasing moment today at the Dixon's hamburger diner.I went inside to place a order.this was about 30 minutes after I woke up so that will be my excuse. so anyway the waitress asked me what I wanted.I replied to her that I needed "2 Furburgers" to go. Of course I meant to say flower burgers.
