The trip to and from Toronto was a total bitch with an ice storm going on the whole time, but the Annie Lennox concert ruled and we're both home, safe and healthy. On top of it, we got to see her after the show and were probably filmed for a live special/DVD. And we had a really nice birthday celebration for our father the following day. A wonderful weekend all around. Thanks to everyone for the concern, well wishes and advice. A lot of things tried to keep us from this show, but we perservered and had a great time. Again, if you have a chance to catch this show, by all means GO. She rules!

One great part about the trip was that the venue was just off of 401 on the Yonge St. exit. It was the easiest time I've had finding a venue that's not in my home town. I love Toronto and I was bummed that we didn't have time to stick around and enjoy the city. But the concert experience itself was perfect.

Yeah, it sucks that it's a legitimate concern now. It felt creepy bringing masks and gloves with us, but it turned out that no one at the show or even on the streets were wearing them, so that made me feel better about it.

I hear it was touch and go with Annie performance day as I'd heard she'd lost her voice earlier that day. However, from what I read, you'd have never known.
