if i opened the door for you? if i pulled your chair out for you at dinner? if when a situation got a little rough, i stepped in and took control? if i sent you flowers at work? if, after you told me what you want, i ordered for you at a restaurant? if a situation that you were involved in led you to fall, i was there to catch you? if i surprised you with a weekend away, and had taken care of EVERYTHING? if someone disrespected you in a harsh way, i put them in their place? if i always took the rubbish out, as i felt it was the "man's job"? or would you be offended by any of these actions? | |

Just 2 days ago I was going into a shop and I saw a business woman walking towards the door. Instinctively I held the door open for her, as I usually do for anyone, man, woman or child. As she walked up to the door she glared at me and took hold of the door and tutted very loudly as if I had just spat in her eye! This has happened a few times in my lifetime and it's infuriating! I've never had a plumber glaring at me at the Shell garage as I hold the door open for him, rather I normally get a "Cheers mate" or a smile.

Not that I'm a girly girl or anything, I'm a quite independent lady and in the past I've supprised some of my friends because of the fact that I don't need a man for "a man's job", but all these things are nice at the right time if it does'nt offend your mate.
