Gunsmoke, TV series, the ones that were filmed in black and white.

A Year In a Live... canceled after one season.

Being Mary Jane... present

I sick of American TV... I can't take another crime, hospital, or Law & Order type show.

Quincy, Emergency!, Trapper John M.D., Nip/Tuck (till it just got too crazy for me to understand), same thing with Private Practice, Emily Owens M.D., HawthoRNe, Royal Pains (really really lightweight tv).

I'm going to have to check out this Chicago Med.

When I say "currently on the air" I mean still in production. Most of the shows I listed like Game of Thrones are between seasons right now.

The Americans, Better Call Saul and Fargo are the most critically acclaimed ongoing series on the air right now. You would really like the two of those not on your list Sexton.

Two shows almost similar to each other.

Burn Notice

The title of the series refers to the burn notices issued by intelligence agencies to discredit or announce the dismissal of agents or sources who are considered to have become unreliable. When spies are burned, their connection to an espionage organization is terminated, leaving them without access to cash or influence. According to the narration during the opening credits, the burned spy has no prior work history, no money, no support network – in essence, no identity. The television series uses second-person narrative and frequent voice-overs providing exposition from the viewpoint of covert-operationsagent Michael Westen, played by Jeffrey Donovan. The voice-over commentary is in the form of tips for fledgling agents as if for a training or orientation film. After fleeing a blown operation in Nigeria and being kidnapped and beaten, Westen finds himself in his hometown[4] of Miami, Florida. He is tended to by his ex-girlfriend, Fiona Glenanne, but he has been abandoned by all his normal intelligence contacts and is under continuous surveillance with his personal assets frozen. Extraordinary efforts to reach his U.S. government handler eventually yield only a grudging admission that someone powerful wants him "on ice" in Miami. If he leaves there, he will be hunted down and taken into custody. If he stays, he can remain relatively free. Consumed by the desire to find out who burned him, and why, Westen is reluctantly drawn into working as an unlicensed private investigator and problem solver for ordinary citizens to fund his personal investigation into his situation as a blacklisted agent.Westen invites his old friend Sam Axe to assist him, while Fiona invites herself to join them. With the occasional assistance and sometimes hindrance of his mother, Madeline, Westen battles an array of criminals such as mobsters, gang members, conartists, murderers, rapists, kidnappers, foreign wet-work operatives, drug traffickers, sex traffickers, arms traffickers, and war criminals. At the same time, Michael must follow the trail that leads him to the people responsible for his being burned, and later finding out why.The series juggles these two narratives: the overall series dealing with why Michael was burned, and individual episodes focusing on the cases he works for clients.

Leverage

Nathan "Nate" Ford is a former insurance investigator and the leader of a team staging elaborate cons for clients victimized by those holding wealth and influence to avoid legal reprisal. The team comes together when Victor Dubenich, a wealthy aerospace executive, persuades Ford, disgraced and an alcoholic after the death of his son, to lead a team of talented criminals to steal aeronautical plans allegedly stolen from him by a competitor. After a successful heist, Dubenich withholds their payment and attempts to have them killed, whereupon they implicate him in a bribery attempt, which leads to his arrest by the FBI. Thereafter, they practice similar deceptions to avenge civilians who cannot use the legal system to redress their grievances. Subplots include Nate's struggle with alcoholism, his complicated relationship with grifter Sophie Devereaux and the budding romance between hacker Alec Hardison and thief Parker.

all kinds of stuff! a lot of shows that aired on TV wink lol and documentaries about nature stuff.

yesterday i watched "Hidden Houses" about tours of cool (sometimes spooky) old houses in Wales. the narrator is quite cheeky and funny.

one of my favorite comedy guys is on Netflix - Carl Pilkington has a new series out called "The Moaning of Life" which is fabulous (he also did An Idiot Abroad)

i love watching Bollywood movies on NF.

lately, though, i've been more impressed with Amazon prime movies. a person can usually watch cable channel offerings (Game of Thrones) on a pay-per-view basis, which is much cheaper than paying for cable overall.

anyway, i'm allergic to commercials so i can no longer watch TV....

Not much. We watch/listen to "Morning Joe" and "Good Morning America" in the mornings while getting dressed.

I like to watch comedies like "Family Guy", "The Big Bang Theory" or "The Daily Show" in bed before going to sleep. "Rules of Engagement" and reruns of "Parks and Recreation" and "Married...With children" also are good.

We usually record "Saturday Night Live" and watch a little of it. The opening, "Weekend Update" and maybe a few skits.

My wife likes "Madam Secretary" but we only get to watch it once a month or so. I like "Supergirl" but same thing - I maybe catch up on it once a month if I'm lucky.

We almost never watch a regular show during the evening. If the TV is on, it's usually a game or movie.

MST3K isn't a tv show. It's just a fat, white libertarian making unfunny jokes while watching a movie.
