How do they get away with this? I thought every film has people who look after the animals in films.

I like dogs but as a child I don't think we looked after him properly. I had this cute little black and white puppy but my dad accidentally hit him his car one night. I was sad. When I was about 9 or 10 my dad brought home a new puppy. I recalled naming him Frisky he was such a busy body. I couldn't wait to get home to play with him but when I got home my Mom said " Baby. I'm sorry " she accidentally ran over him when she came home from work. A couple of years later my father ran over a puppy someone had given my sister . I think at about age 14-15 we got another one a white German Shepard puppy. I think we were determined (me,my sis & bro) that we were gonna see him to adulthood. Kept him on my room, cleaned up after him , had him a dog house built once he got to big on our patio. He lived a pretty long life he lived long enough til we all graduated, I graduated boot camp, got married, had my first child. The dogs name was Prince. Looking back though he lived we didn't care for him properly. We were not abusive but we never went to a vet. Years later My brother got a dog. A terriers mix I think who's name was also Prince. Smartest dog I've ever seen. He'd let me know when its time to go use the bathroom. You gotta take him to the vet, gotta get those vitamins, gotta feed him properly, gotta go for walks ( my weakness) I really like them. Being older now Dogs are pretty much like buying a car, house, having a child, getting married. What I mean by that is nothing just takes care of itself. You gotta put in the work. My hardest thing would be walking the dog.

I love walking the dog, but not in the snowy winter we're having now. It's much better in the summer though cause we can go anywhere and the dog smells other animals and then chases after them. It's fun watching them cause she never catches them and I get to see hares which I don't see as often as I would want to. full lips, freckles, and upturned nose

'A Dog's Purpose' producer pens emotional op-ed on 'misleading' video: The 'dog was NEVER forced into water'
Gavin Polone is telling his side of the story. In a lengthy op-ed published in The Hollywood Reporter, the A Dog's Purpose producer addressed the recently leaked video of what appeared to be a scared, struggling dog forced to perform. And while the filmmaker took accountability for the animal's well-being, addressing what should have been done, he also spoke out against the "misleading" footage that led to the film's premiere being canceled. "Like you, I'm sure, I was appalled when I saw the video, shot on the set of A Dog's Purpose in Winnipeg in October 2015, of a dog trainer trying to coerce a frightened German Shepard into a pool," the producer wrote. "Love of animals defines my existence, and that love is what drove me to struggle for years to get Bruce Cameron's brilliant and widely cherished novel about the bond between a person and a dog made into a movie."
"The TMZ video only shows the unfinished take of when the dog was on the right side. What is clear from viewing all the footage was that the dog was NEVER forced into the water," Polone contested. "You can also see, at the end of the scene, the dog going underwater for four seconds, which never should have happened, and then the diver and handlers lifting the dog out of the pool. The dog then shook off and trotted around the pool, unharmed and unfazed. ... TMZ's edited version gives the impression that the dog was thrown in and eventually drowned, since the two parts seem to be connected. You never see him pulled out and OK. This is highly misleading." "Further, I saw video shot last Thursday morning of the dog and I'm happy to say that Hercules is obviously quite well," Polone said, regarding how the dog is doing now.

on a happier note: The three puppies rescued from avalanche were local celebrities
A week after a deadly avalanche ravaged an Italian resort town, rescuers made a miraculous find under the...ous ground. Three fluffy sheepdog puppies were found in the hotel's wreckage, all of whom were local celebrities. Hotel Rigopiano regularly posted pictures of the pups, born to two of the resort's 'resident' sheepdogs, to their Facebook page. The puppies' parents also survived the avalanche and were found Wednesday. "In fact, it was hard to find them right away because they were hidden. Then we heard this very tiny bark and we saw them from a little hole the firefighters had opened in the wall. Then we expanded the hole and we pulled them out," said one of the rescuers,...o Fox News.
The miraculous rescue of the dogs have given rescuers new hope. So far, Italian search and rescue crews have found 9 survivors and 6 fatalities. However, 23 people are still missing.

the movie 'A Dog's Purpose' is doing okay in theaters. i saw a clip from the scene where the dog was forced into the water; in the second clip he was perfectly okay going in, but preferred going in from the other side of the pool where he had been practicing. so, he wasn't afraid of water. jut that sie of the water. poor dog
