Atlanta and Dallas would have to play each other in the NFC title game. Only one of them can make it to the SUper Bowl.

lol Now, now comfort no need in being so bitter. See, the thought of the Patriots knocking my Cowboys off is what most will expect, especially in Vegas...which in turn will make my Cowboys the underdog, and the beautiful thing about this is that, the door is open for upsets to happen. Sure, Brady and The Patriots are red hot, a great team, however, they can be beat too. We shall see what happens won't we? thumbs up! Still love ya Uptown. batting eyes

With a good running game and a rookie QB that's not prone to the big mistake, Dallas is in good position with homefield to make it to the Super Bowl.

Defensively, though, they'll have to be able to handle the Pats' attack. The D has a good QB in Sean Lee, but it remains to be seen whether they have either the secondary or pass rush to generate the kind of pressure needed to hold a lead.

They can answer that question this week, with another 12 coming to town.

Chargers owner to tell staff of plans to move team to L.A.

Chargers owner Dean Spanos has called an 8 a.m. PST meeting Thursday to tell his staff the news they have all been bracing for: The team plans to move to Los Angeles.

According to several sources informed of the team's plans, Spanos told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, other league officials and a few fellow owners of his intentions following the committee meetings on Wednesday. During those meetings, the Chargers were barely a topic and the league did not offer any additional money to contribute to their stadium efforts.

According to those who know him well, the committee meetings were seen as the last opportunity for a solution. None came.

Therefore, Spanos plans to tell his staff that the team is moving. ESPN first reported that Spanos had made a firm decision. The owner had previously said he was leaning toward Los Angeles.

Earlier on Wednesday, the league extended the Chargers' deadline to pick up the option to join the Rams in Los Angeles by a few days, making it Jan. 17. Yet it appears Spanos will make the call before that cutoff.

There is a caveat -- and it's a big one: Spanos has done nothing official. He hasn't filed a formal relocation letter, hasn't informed city officials in either San Diego or Los Angeles and hasn't told his staff yet.

Two people who speak to Spanos regularly insisted he still can change his mind, though that seems unlikely. Another source pointed out how deliberate Spanos is, saying that if he's called a meeting to inform his staff, it almost certainly means his mind is made up.

One team source would not address the matter, saying the decision has changed on a daily basis. But he also was telling those close to him what might be their reality.

If the Chargers do announce firmly they are moving, they have until May 1 to terminate their lease with Qualcomm Stadium and with their training facility. They'd owe a $12 million termination fee to the city and would have to be out of Chargers Park by July 1.

Having leased a practice facilit...fice space in Costa Mesa, California, they would likely be out far sooner than that.

That is, assuming, Spanos follows through and informs his staff of his decision to move.

I loved the Steelers when they had Terry Bradshaw, but there's no way I can bring myself to root for them with Ben Rothlisberger on the team. Good quarterback, horrible human.

No their main enemy is the front office not taking care of Russell Wilson.

They traded center Max Unger last season and didn't bring back left tackle

Russell Okung. Russell was running for his life the first part of the season.

They also miss safety Earl Thomas on IR.

Go Steelers!

So now LA has TWO football teams no one gives a fuck about..... lol

Congratulations to the folks in San Diego for not caving in to extortion. Not one CENT of taxpayer money should be used to fund football stadiums for these billionaire owners. Let those mfers pay for it themselves.

In the whole scheme of things, this move is not going to affect the composition of the fanbase that much. San Diego is only 2 hours away from LA. The fans in San Diego are still probably going to root for the Chargers. I suspect that there are quite a few Chargers fans in LA, including people who grew up in SD and now live LA or people who live in LA and have chosen to root for the Chargers because LA didn't have an NFL team for 20+ years.

Those lines look right.

Dallas' main issues are defensive holes, which Dez is going to show up week to week, and the playoff inexperience of their QB. They're still favored because they're healthier and well rested, but the Pack hung almost 40 on the Jints, who have a much better defense.

I hate Dallas, but if the home teams in the NFC win out this week, the Boys are the favorites to get to the SB.

Please. Everyone is on Aaron Rodgers nutsack now and he has been balling out the
past few weeks but he doesn't play on the defensive side of the ball and he will be without Jordy Nelson. There's no love lost for the Cowboys but I'd be very shocked if they didn't spank Green Bay again with that suspect defense. I just can't see the Packers winning this one. The wild card in the NFC is Atlanta. If they get by the Seahawks I would like their chances going to Dallas for the NFC title game.

The defense will get worn out from being on the field too long. Texans offense is as shitty as the Giants. It'll be over by halftime.
