Plans for New Year's Eve

2016 was a depressing year for most of us here on the org and I don't think I'm alone in being glad it's nearly over. We lost so many people we admired, Muhammad Ali, George Michael, Gene Wilder, David Bowie, unfortunately, the list goes on and on. We also lost the reason we're all here on the org, Prince. So, without dwelling on the negatives, it's important that we all look to the future with some sense of optimism. This year ends, as most years tend to do, on December 31. So, my question to the org; what are you doing for New Year's Eve? Staying in for a quite night with the family? Going out with friends and partying like it's 1999?

I'm on a mountain. There's nothing to do here except ski and eat. I'd have to drive an hour through a canyon to find some civilization and some parties.

So, I'm driving an hour through a canyon!

Thanks, kpowers. Same to you! Though there's a limit to how much trouble I can get into sitting at home with my 4 year old daughter. smile

i'll be turning the BIG 40, but so far I have no plans...I'm still gonna get my head shaven on Friday so I can be ready for something or nothing.....I Love Soul Food & Chinese Food, so on New Year's day I'll probably buy a little of both...

(and even though I'm a Southerner I hate Black-eyed peas so that won't be on my Soul/Asian-Menu.)

Probably nothing for me. I was invited to a party that I no longer want to go to, cause the drive to get there is long and I won't know most of the people there. confused

If you will, so will I

Even though i live in a city(Las Vegas)that does big(and crazy) things for New Years Eve, i wont be a part of any of it. My black ass is staying home. Probably just grab some Chinese food(thanks for the ideal, Chancellor), watch some movies on Netflix(or Hulu), and chill.

I'm a little paranoid about 2016(concerning safety), and just want this year OVER with.

You all have fun. And stay safe. thumbs up!

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that! My mother also died around the same time (4 december) a couple of years ago. December just isn't a happy time for me. On top of that, I'm recovering from eye surgery, so fireworks and large crowds... No, not this time. I'll just stay in and have some fun next year when I'm better.

Not sure....may just do what I did last year...watch Pit Bull's New Year's Eve party and then go to bed like it's any other night. lol My days of paying $40 to go clubbing and get pissy drunk on NYE are pretty much over.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Have a great time everybody who ist partying and a peaceful time everyone who won't grouphug

A friend invited me to a party she is hosting ( a music session as she is a violin player) and I am sure it would be very nice there, but I probably can't go because I am sick with fever, coughing and terrible rib pain and I doubt I will be well enough the day after tomorrow to go anywhere. I hardly managed to go to the pharmacy round the corner today sad . And while I very much appreciate my friend's invitiation (she even offered to pick me up and drive me there as the party is out of town) I don't feel like partying much anyway as my best friend is in the hospital as she is terminally ill at the age of 43 only. I wish I could go and see her for NYE, but might still not be healthy enough to do that either. The last NYEs I used to spend with her and other friends and the last one was already scary as she had just gotten her cancer diagnosis a few weeks before, but this year it will be a really sad NYE for me.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I'd like to do nothing and be in bed well before midnight as a kind of final "Fuck You" to the year that was. I am with family in the Phillipines though so it might be hard to remove myself.

I may also torture myself by playing the video of Prince performing Auld Lang Sine from Miles from the Park '87. I feel like crying the year out and that'll do it.
If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!
