I'm excited for this! Batman being my favorite superhero how could I not be? Ben was pretty good in BVS, even though personally, that movie is below OKAY for me. His Bruce Wayne was really good, I'm interesed in seeing more of his Batman. I like Keaton's Batman and Bale's Bruce Wayne, but I actually feel like live action Affleck has a chance to give the most even performance between both sides of the character. chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads |

I was just watching that scene again.....fucking BRUTAL. You KNOW Batman's thinking about his parents when he's tearing those clowns apart.
Superman vs Faora & Nam-Ek was badass too. Supes was overmatched, plus the Kryptonians were military trained.
Emma - For me, The Dark Knight is "The Empire Strikes Back" of the Nolan trilogy. Batman Begins and DKR are on the level of "Star Wars". Hope that makes sense.
Heath Ledger's Joker.....doesn't get any better than that. But I have to give an honorable mention to Spader's Ultron, Molina's Doc-Ock & Roth's Abomination.
[Edited 12/16/16 14:34pm]
I always see the nolan movies treated like they're The Godfather or something and I don't get it. I love the character of Batman. Or more precisely, I love the version of him as depicted by Michael Keaton and Kevin Conroy. But Christian Bale just isn't Batman for me. He's a good Bruce Wayne. But his Batman doesn't do it for me. Likewise Heath Ledger's Joker. To me, there is no better Joker than Mark Hamill. Jack Nicholson is my favourite live action Joker. Heath Ledger's version was too, for lack of a better word, serious. And don't get me started on Dark Knight Rises. I really liked Batman Begins and I quite enjoyed The Dark Knight but Rises was a major disappointment. Boring, full of plot holes, predictable as fuck and Bane was terrible. Awful ending too. As far as superhero trilogies go, I'd rather X-Men. Sure, the third one was worse than Dark Knight Rises but parts 1 and 2 were among my favourite movies of all time. In terms of my own favourite comic book movie villains, I'd go with 1. Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor 2. Jack Nicholson as Joker 3. Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin 4. Ian McKellen as Magneto 5. Tom Hiddleston as Loki
My favorite of those you named is Magneto.
I am fatigued of Jokers. We got villians up the wazoo and they keep making Joker movies for what?
Same with Wolverine...I am not amused.
They keep making Joker movies? Joker has only appeared in 2 movies in the past 16 yrs while Magneto has appeared in 6. But I'd also have to say I really enjoy the Character of Magneto. He's probably my 2nd favorite villain ever. I loved Mckellen and Fassbender in the role and they never disappoint. Magneto's display of power is always what I look forward to. He needs his own movie. |

Batman has soooo many interesting villians that there is no need to make any more Joker or Catwoman storylines. What about Mad Hatter or King Tut, for starters?
The Joker character has been in more than two films.

1) I was surprised that Ben's Batman was good. I didn't like his Wayne interpretation though.
2) I thought the hate for Superman by Batman was a stretch.
3)As for the Nolan trilogy (my personal favorite version.), I acknowledge the last one was the weakest one by far. That movie should have been split into two. One more focused on Cat Woman and the future Robin with a hint of bane antics toward the end. The next movie about Bane and rise of Robin. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

The Joker character has been in more than two films.
Batman (1989) The Dark Knight (2008) Suicide Squad (2016) These are the only live action movies made in recent times which feature The Joker, as far as I know. Considering he is Batman's main villain, only having him appear in 2 Batman movies (Batman and The Dark Knight) and one spin off (Suicide Squad) when there's been 8 Batman movies plus that one spin off, I don't think he's been overused. Yet. I would like to see Jared Leto being given a proper chance at playing the character. His role in Suicide Squad was barely more than a cameo so I think it's a bit unfair for people to judge him based on that one movie. He's a good actor so I'd be interested in seeing what he'd do if given a full role in a future Batman movie. HOWEVER, I agree that there are other villains they could be using if they so choose. I'd like to see Mr Freeze in another movie. The Scwarzenegger portrayal is the only version a lot of people are familiar with but if you've seen the 90's animated series you'll know there is great potential in the character. |

Three films is still more than two films.
Enough with the Joker already.

I'm still scarred from 1997 to have Mr. Freeze back on the big screen If they were to adapt the episode "Heart of Ice" from the animated series and flesh it out to feature length, not only would you be looking at possibly the best Batman movie ever made but it would be a potential Best Picture contender. |
