God you guys love to start Lakers threads big grin I'm happy to report that in my near expert opinion of NBA that if the Lakers end the season with the 6th or 7th seed it will be one and done for them as they will lose to the Spurs or Kings.

If they are able to move up to the 4 or 5 spot or down to the 8 they will live to see round two as they can beat Minnesota, Portland, Dallas, or Utah.

Ohhh, surrre, yada, yada, yada; you're the same person who swore that Dallas was better than LA this season. You can't switch boats in mid-stream, it's bad form. no no no!

Why can't I change my mind if the facts change?
At the time the Mavs were better then the Lakers, but as of late injuries have exposed some of the Mavs soft-spots ((Finley's absense kills them and even if he comes back for the play-offs he will have missed 12 games and will be very rusty) and I have decided that in a 7 game series the Lakers have the advantage - although slight.

Because they're one of the teams you picked as better than the Lakers earlier, now you're changing your mind just because they lost to them the last two times they played them - Finley's absence makes no difference at all, they couldn't hold a 27 point 4th quarter lead with him either. And Shaq wasn't even playing like Shaq in that game. Dallas is the most overrated team in the Western Conference. I've been saying it since December. One day y'all are gonna learn to listen to me...a paper team, Dallas is.

I saw Dallas destroy Minnesota in Minnesota on Sunday and there wasn't anything "paper" about them.

But how can Finley's absense not hurt? That's just ridiculous as he is a great player and is their second scoring option. Also, without him the bench rotation gets all messed up.

I guess I will be paying attention Tuesday? night now big grin

Well maybe Minnesota isn't as good as we think. lol

I'm not saying it doesn't hurt Dallas, I'm saying it doesn't matter if they have their whole team intact against the Lakers.

Now that I've pondered it, ok, I'm being a bit unfair; I can see how someone can change their minds about who the better team is after the season is almost over - UNLESS earlier this season you picked Dallas to beat LA in the post season if they meet.

I have no problem reassessing things and changing my mind sometimes. And I know I sometimes come across differently than I intend to; but if I feel I'm wrong I'll say so.

And the Dallas Mavericks are a PAPER TEAM!!! biggrin
