Maybe I need to watch it again, but I seem to be okay with it. Maybe it the anxiety I felt at the season finale that's worn off, I don't think I could have taken it then, I knew it was coming and had a long time to prepare for it so when it happened I wasn't anywhere near as shocked. I seem ready to move on with the story. Weird.
same here and yeah, it's weird. having waited the entire summer to find out who'd die i'm totally ready to let that stress of suspense go. i've also imagined grisly deaths for the entire cast in my own head so this premiere didn't bring me to my knees. don't get me wrong, i found it disturbing

I'm guessing it's going to go slow pace the next couple of episodes. This show has those moments.

I agree about the past. But, I just have a feeling it's going to stay intense. It won't be Lucille shit, but it will be busy with activity, the crew finding their footing, Rick's struggle, the others lost without their leader, Maggie's condition, Michonne being Michonne, and Carl being a pain in the ass as usual. However, I think by the end of the season, there will be blood.

Wow, how you come to this conclusion, i would have never guess something like this.

This all surely sounds exciting but I wonder how they are going to fill the voids that Glenn and Abe left. I mean, we somehow got over losing Hershel and Merle but Glenn and Abraham? They were both very charismatic and good fighters. (Well, so was Merle..and Hershel had medical skills).
But still....it´s going to be difficult to replace them.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

They've got to give Rick some time to have somekind of psychotic break along with everybody else's individual breaking or boiling point. Depending on how much time has passed between this and the next episode. If it's weeks then maybe it'll be fast pace but if it like the next day then everybody will be in shock and trying to come to terms with what just happened. Maybe we'll find out what happened to Carol and Morgan next episode. You know how they do.

hope so. i see the next two episodes getting us up to speed with the other communities. hopefully, we'll see carole and morgan making allies
I think Negan has a god-complex. My first thought when he was going to make Rick cut off Carl's arm, I somehow knew he wouldn't let him, the story felt soooo familiar.
I think this episode "The day will come when you won't be" makes it the most disturbing Walking dead episode followed by the episode when Carol had to kill that little girl

I watched about 10 minutes of Talking Dead. A few interesting points were made.
1) It's refreshing, and a bit odd, to just be dropped into the Kingdom this week. It's a lighter episode, and there wasn't even a build up to it. It's just boom, here we are.
2) Carol has no idea what has gone on; that Glenn and Abe are gone. She has no clue about the crew or otherwise. But all that violence and murder and dead bodies are out there in the ether.
3) Negan has no idea about Carol either, and how non-suburban she can be when necessary. She helped get them out of a mess at the prison, too.
I was googling around for pics of the comics, and I warn you - do not google image search King Ezekiel unless you want to know his fate down the line. Because you find out real damn quick in the search.
morningsong said: And pigs kicking walker tail. Yep I've seen it all now.
that was sad. animals don't seem to fare very well on TWD. i'm already worrying about what will happen to all those horses....
Given the circumstances.
The fact that the farm pigs are survivors on their own is amazing, not even dogs are making it seems in large numbers, the pigs in that area seem to be thriving all by themselves.
The horses, just keep them away from Rick and 'em and they'll be fine.

it's sort of surprising that zombies haven't munched off all the wildlife yet. environmentally speaking, what would be the effect of a superhorde of walkers???
wouldn't they be like locusts an eat everything in their path? squirrels, rabbits, wolves, coyotes, cows, bears... then again, most living things should be able to outrun those messes...
