last night's episode was interesting. i think negan did a great job of explaining why he didn't simply shoot carl in the head after carl blew away two of negan's men. as far as the others and their individual actions not-psrt0of-the-group stances who knows? eventually it will all tie together but right now for me it's all a bit whatever..

Great episode, enjoyed every single second of it. Interesting direction ...so far we´ve got a new community (the women near the beach), some more insight into the Saviors compound and Negan´s harem and his rules, and a new character who seems to be a lone wolf, much like Morgan used to be. I´m talking about that guy who lives in the houseboat on the lake. That´s just a single dude and not a community, right? I also enjoyed the tense situation between Negan and Carl. Reminded me a little bit of Robert De Niro´s " A Bronx Tale". I know that is VERY VERY far fetched, but hey.... Though I must admit that the Anakin and Palpatine comparison probably does make more sense. But those who know Bronx Tale know what I´m talking about. The vibe is somewhat similar. What´s the point of having Eugene and that pastor (Gabriel?) on this show? They don´t contribute much at all.
Then again, it is probably more realistic to include some not so courageous people to make it more realistic. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

These past few episodes have my mind in a tizzy. Some parts of it are interesting, but this Negan storyline is being dragged out and it's giving me a headache. I hate torture storylines and this guy gets off on some serious mind games, which annoys me to no end...so much that I'm not even excited about TWD Sunday nights anymore nor do I watch the Talking Dead anymore, which I used to religiously tune in to. I don't know, perhaps this is all a set up for something more bigger and exciting to come. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's not the season finale, it's the winter finale. It'll be back in February to continue out the season (I presume) as it normally does. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Exactly and I agree. JDM is playing the hell out of the role. He's definitely doing his job, it's the storyline that has me frustrated. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

so tomorrow is the mid-season finale. who else will be tuned in for the last, gasp-inducing bits??? i'm hoping to see a bit more of Daryl and Carol and their respective groups. the show has seemed really disjointed to me this autumn, switching back and forth between different character lines without overlapping them very much. i think this is responsible for some of the ratings' fall. it would be nice if tomorrow's episode brings these different plot lines together into one The Walking Dead Is Off Track: Here's How to Fix Itby Billy Nilles | Fri, Dec 9, 2016 12:41 PM . Much like the lumbering zombies at the center of the series, The Walking Dead once seemed to be pretty unstoppable. Season after season, ratings continued to rise, cementing the AMC thriller's position as TV's number one show. But as fans of the show know all too well, nothing good lasts in this world. Despite a series second-best total audience of 17.03 million people tuning in for the epic (and epically po...) premiere that saw Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) bash the head in of not one, but two beloved characters, season seven has been on a rating landslide. Over the course of just seven weeks, The Walking Dead has watched its audience erode to numbers not seen since season three, with the latest episode pulling in a modest 10.48 million. While those numbers are nothing to sniff at (most broadcast shows would kill for them, in fact) and the bonkers numbers pulled in for the premiere—due in large part to curiosity over one of TV's most egregiou...ngers ever—were never expected to be the new normal, there's no doubt that the folks at AMC are watching their cash cow's diminishing returns with sweat on their brow. But all hope is not lost. There's still plenty of opportunity to get this runaway train back on track. Here's how. AMC Keep Moving Forward Gene Page/AMC Trim the Fat Just a tip: It is completely possible to spotlight individual characters and tell your overall story within the same episode. Lost made an art form out of it. Secondly, it's time to back away from the increasingly bloated extended episodes. More often than not, these 90-minute episodes do very little to justify their existence, beyond the naked grab for more ad dollars. If AMC is unwilling to scale back the amount of episodes per season (which is a desperately needed change that would help tighten the story, but will most certainly never happen), then they've got to at least limit each episode to its standard hour-long timeslot. Used sparingly, the extended episode feels like a treat. But when it happens every damn week, we begin to wonder if we really have the time in our busy lives for this show. AMC Ditch the Script Find the Focus AMC Respect Your Audience And to follow them up with a handful of unfocused, unnecessarily long and—worst of all—boring episodes? It's no wonder the audience is fleeing en masse like there's a horde of walkers on their tail. What do you think The Walking Dead needs to do to turn its ratings woes around? Share your ideas with us in the comments below. The Walking Dead midseason finale airs Sunday, Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
