Dave Chappelle on SNL

It was great to see Dave doing stand-up again in a big way. For me, it was probably one of the best (if not the best) monolog on SNL. Couple that with the cold open with Kate McKinnon singing Cohen's "Hallelujah", and it was the best first 15 minutes of the show to ever air.

PS How did I miss that Kate was openly gay?

I love it. Great message, especially at the very end. That's all unbiased, rational people are saying ... give Trump a chance, as he has promised to give everyone of us a chance.

Dave Chappelle is such a delusional, disgusting homophobe. That's not who I wanted hosting the first SNL back after hate won the election.

Chappelle was waaay off his game last night. His manner was so dull that he seemed sedated.

I think it had to do with the audience and the live broadcast on NBC, it wasn't gonna be like an uncensored show at the Apollo.

Never seen him at the Apollo. He had his own broadcast show that I've watched many times and his demeanor was never detached. Even when he was on The Actor's Studio having a serious conversation with James Lipton he was very engaged.

When people show you how they are and tell what they're going to do, you should believe them. We have a history in this country WTF do some don't understand? As I've always said, it goes a long way and explaining how we got here as a people and in many respects why we are going backwards. Weak and spineless...

Wait so what are you guys saying? I thought Dave's opening monologue was excellent. Only someone like Chris Rock could have done better.

The sketches besides the one with Rock and the Walking Dead spoof were great. The other sketches didn't look like he wrote so those he was just acting in

I enjoyed it and his monologue was great and well delivered. The man is definitely a comedy legend in his own right. I love that he picks and chooses what he wants to do on his own terms. I hope that he'll be touring again soon. I'd love to see him again in person. He gives an excellent show. nod

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

He has never stopped touring. Since the show went off the air. He just doesn't do comedy on TV or things like that, until this past SNL.

Lorne is smart, he let Chappelle do what he wanted. Lot of N-bombs and pussy. But they were used with great timing mot just spewed out like Katt Williams.

Yeah I know, that's how I got to see him in person about 10 years ago. lol What I mean is that I hope that he'll be touring again soon to include the city that I live in because he hasn't been here in a while.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I did too, but when I found out Dave was going to be hosting, I made it a point to set my DVR and tune in. I only watch SNL if there is someone that I like hosting or if a music artist I like will be performing.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's really the worst show ever now. Only reason they are getting ratings is Trump. Glad Dave is gonna give Trump a chance. It was more like a stand-up routine so it seemed odd, but was pretty funny.

The election eve special was pretty good, especially at the end when they took it to the streets.
