Kong:Skull Island First Look! Fucking awesome! Definitely looks more like the 1933 Kong, which is great. Peter Jackson's Kong looked too much like a real gorilla, whereas the original was more of an 'ape monster'.

King Kong 1976 is one of my favorite movies of all times because of the intense mood, top actors, and emotional punches and the John Barry score (2005 version didn't do anything for me although I appreciated the zany comic book type of shots and detailed CG). Of course the 1933 one was pioneering genius, but it is stiff on the human element.
This looks like Apocalypse Now meets Kong and they have some 1976 elements in there (ridiculously sized mythical Kong that is acting a bit more human than ape, other big regular animals, humor, and the fog around the island.
I'm more curious about this then Star Wars Rogue One because repeat viewings of The Force Awakens show it to be boring and not fun, and rogue One seems like a modern video game cinematic trailer. But who knows, it's all about the story and the sense of interlocking plotted adventure to make a good Star Wars movie. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I like the old one but I really, really didn't like the Peter Jackson one. I'm looking forward to the new one but the new trailer kind of killed my enthusiasm for it. I like that there are other monsters in it. Seeing as this is set in the same world as the last Godzilla movie, other monsters were kind of a given. But I'm not liking the "comedy" aspects of it. I don't mind it being lighthearted, there's only so serious a movie about a giant ape can be, but the comedic moments shown in the trailer are not funny. Not only that, but is it really necessary to show so much of the film in the trailer?

It's a completely different Kong.....this one will be nearly Godzilla's size (350 ft tall), and I'm sure he won't make goo-goo eyes at some blonde.

1976 or the1933 film The 30's one. I don't think I seen the 70's one. It was on TV one time and I was technically in the room, but I wasn't really watching it. It was just kind of... there.
