My Nan had a black cat named Moonface, he was my best buddy. Massive with big green eyes. They lived in Ladbroke Grove, everyone knew him. He had the postman under manners Stole 2 lamb chops off the butcher & proudly layed them down on the back door step 4 my Nan Ran off burglars one time, they threw my Nan's marble Buddha at him, mashed his ear, he had probs with it 4 the rest of his life. He was the greatest. I'm seriously considering getting a black kitten in the near future. I love all cats and black cats are the best. LOVE 4 BLACK CATS.

Like you Nina, i don't understand why people don't pick black cats in rescue centres. I have never even thought about it i just pick a cat i like Their so beautiful, there's one near me, he's a little panther, his fur is thick & dense, like velvet. What a handsome boy! I think it's tied 2 all the yrs they demonised black cats (well, cats in general) it's a holdover. All those women they burned 2 death 4 hundreds of yrs in Europe, they used 2 throw their cats/pets (& children!) in with em, called them their 'familiars'. Same way people still feel about foxes 2day, also demonised 4 hundreds of yrs.
