It makes no damn sense. He did a celebratory shake for 5 seconds. Cam Newton choreographs a 4 minute video and Travis Kelce does the Nae Nae after scoring a TD and neither gets called .

Exactly. And let's not forget the Bungals congo dance last year during the playoffs

Notice how Cam teammates are in the background like when is this fool gonna stop
this nonsense. Lol That dude has got to be the biggest hot dog in football especially playing qb but his ass has gotten some humble pie lately. Some of the fans in Charlotte are fed up with his antics especially when you're not winning.

LOL @ Steeler fans calling for Tomlin's head. He coached the team to a Super Bowl victory and would've had two if Mendenhall didn't fumble against Green Bay.

I totally agree with that. Yeah I think people are over reacting to the loss to Philly. Steelers are gonna win more than lose this season.

I think we can get that shot at number 7 this season. I just want my dude to tighten it up and discipline is key.

Steeler fans calling for Tomlin's head isn't anything new but it still bothers me when they do it.

Meh I'm not one of those Steelers fans that will pin that loss solely on Mendenhall. There was enough blame to go around. Jordy Nelson ran circles around William Gay who is much maligned. Our then OC Bruce Arians drew to many damn sandlot plays up for Mike Wallace which in fact 2 of Ben's Int's came as a result of going to Mike Wallace. On the last drive that could have won the game he kept looking for Mike Wallce while Hines Ward was open on 2 plays. As for Tomlin I was getting a little frustrated 2 seasons ago when we lost a few games to inferior teams but I realized that the team just needed to gel as they transitioned from the old guard to the new.

See, I think you get what I'm going through. nod

I have no intention of giving up on my Steelers after 40 years but I ain't getting any younger and have to watch my blood pressure. lol

I know there was lots of blame to go around, but Steelers were finally playing no mistake football in the 4th quarter. Steelers were playing harder football than the Packers. If Mendenhall never fumble Steelers would have won the game. So yeah I blame Mendenhall. Never liked him on the team as well. Bad choice in the draft.

I don't think he was a bad choice at all. Lima Sweed was. I find it funny how Steelers fans blame Mendy for everything. Dude had back to back 1000 yard rushing seasons for the Steelers behind the shittiest offensive line since 1970's. It's a reason why Ben got beat up all the time. Ben recently admitted he considered retirement after the Eagles game several years ago when he was sacked 8 times but much to his credit he never threw his o- line under the bus. I think most of the backlash for Mendenhall was for the Bin Laden comment bs. How did the fan favorite
Isaac Redman work out after Mendenhall? lol
Failed to mention Mendenhall had an assortment of injuries too but I'm glad
we have Bell. I'll take him any day over Mendenhall. I just think Mendenhall took
too much unnecessary blame running behind the worst line in football and we won one Super Bowl with that garbage ass line.

Yeah I know about Mendenhall injuries. 1000 yards a season means 62 yards a game for 16 games. Mendehall had no vision on the field. Only ran straight ahead, never could cut and lose anybody. Couldn't break a tackle to save his life. No sports analyst ever said the key to a Steeler victory is just give Mendenhall the ball (they said that about Bettis). Come to think about it nobody mentioned much about Mendehall when it came to RB during that time. He sucked when he went to Arizona. Was a bad pick, maybe should have picked a O-Line instead. Oh god Lemon Sweed, oh wait Limas Sweed yeah he sucked too.

Yeah the kinda look bored. It's kinda like they are coming over and saying "Ok Cam let's wrap this up now, we got a game to get back to". Though I'll give Newton some credit, he matured more when talking to the press about game one and all those no helmet to helmet hits that weren't called.

Actually Mendenhall was criticized by fans for too much juking and spinning and rightly so. He liked to run outside. No he didn't have the best vision but you can't run where there weren't holes. Mendenhall rushed for 1108 yards and 7 tds in 2009 and in 2010 rushed for 1273 yards and 13 tds and he rushed for 928 yards and 9 tds and only missed 1000 that year because he tore his ACL in game 15 against Cleveland. Those were the 3 years he actually played a full 15- 16 games. 3 out of 5 seasons he was very productive for the Steelers. Some starting backs in the league now don't average 62 rushing yards a game. Don't know if you're old enough to remember Walter Abercrombie who Pittsburgh drafted in 1982 in the first round. He was supposed to be the heir apparent to Franco. In 7 seasons with Pittsburgh he only rushed for 800 yards twice. Remember Dallas took Felix Jones one pick ahead of Mendenhall. Felix only rushed for 800 yards once barely in 5 seasons with the Cowboys. Felix was far more of a bust than Mendenhall. Who knows how good he could have been with an offensive line Pittsburgh has now but I'm glad we have Bell.

Every time I watched Mendenhall he just ran straight up the middle and was lucky to get 2 yards. Yeah I vaguely remember Walter Abercrombie. Some other good RB IMO besides the obvious (Harris, Bettis,Bell) were Foster, Bam Morris, Willie Parker and Eric Pegran & Leroy Thompson were pretty good too. Yeah Felix Jones and Duce Staley never really worked out in Pittsburgh. Well let's agree to disagree. You pick Dri Archer as the biggest bust and I pick Mendenhall.

The Best Season for Each NFL Team

Lynn Swann

#23 - 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers

Postseason result: Won Super Bowl
Regular season record: 12-2 (.857)

Points scored: 373
Points allowed: 162

With a league-most six Super Bowl titles, the Steelers have plenty of great teams to choose from. The 1975 team gets our nod by the slimmest of margins. The Steelers had the highest point differential (plus-211) in the league, thanks largely to a dominant defense. Cornerback Mel Blount won the Defensive Player of the Year Award, and the team defeated the Cowboys, 21-17, in Super Bowl X, in a game highlighted by an MVP performance from Hall of Fame receiver Lynn Swann.

Truth! My most awesome team in NFL history. Such fantastic memories.

I met Bradshaw and Franco Harris at the Pro Bowl that year. I was so awestruck that I was speechless. I also saw Otis Sistrunk, Ted Hendricks, Jim Otto and either Alan Page or Carl Eller....can't remember which.

Then, much to my mother's amusement, Drew Pearson said hello to me and I nearly fainted because I had a huge crush on him back in the day. lol

cool

It was the good old days when everybody did their showin and provin on the field.

Nobody had an entourage, we weren't always reading about them in tabloids or about their contract disputes and endorsement deals.

It was moreso about football.
