Have you ever taken a 'Digital Break'? I've found recently that being online can be a bit relentless and sometimes I feel tempted to take month or two away from it.

The only time I ever go online is to come here and I've only been on the org for about a year or so. I don't do Facebook or Twitter or any of that other nonsense. So, prior to joining the org, my previous 25 years of life was one long digital break. Personally, I could easily live without internet.

I have thought about deleting the Socialmedia world, except here of course. Don't have that much to say except self-promotion for business and bands. There is that whole recognition from my friends and family that I exist. [Edited 8/26/16 16:29pm]

Well, it just so happens recently that I'm witnessing on FB some tension rear its ugly head between two sisters who both happen to be from different political parties. Granted, its passive aggressive & they're not directly attacking each other, but they're not fooling anybody. Seeing that (among other examples) made me realize that I need to step away from social media.

...for the millionth time as I've said on here, I still don't get what FB and so forth are, or why one would need them or use them.....

I was on a digital break for the first 36 years of my life. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sure, it's a blast. | |
