I could give a shit about meeting "celebrities." They are just people.

That's how I feel too, but I think it's interesting meeting them, or seeing them wandering around. Kind of like spotting a wild animal you've only seen in books out roaming about. biggrin

It might be interesting if you could somehow profit from the meeting, but other than that they're generally spoiled rich people who live in a bubble outside the real world. And most of them aren't very educated and make money pretending to be someone they're not. This mostly pertains to Hollywood, but you get the point. wink Why kiss anyone's ass? What do celebrities have to offer you as a person?

Mr. Paul Mooney
- before & after & even away from his performances at the DC Improv

Tommy Davidson
- he was doing stills for "In Living Color" right where I worked at the time

Branford Marsalis
-in Georgetown on M St. he was going to some jewelry store, I walked with him for a while, he waited while I went to get a pen for his autograph.. real cool, & nice

Rony Seikely (getting off the Miami Heat team bus)
Jim J. Bullock (in a supermarket in LA.. before he "came out".. he was buying WATERMELON.. nice person)

Monte Moir
- after a show in a nightclub in DC. we talked for a good 10-15 minutes. laid back, nice guy.

Jerome Benton
- twice, the 1st time after the same show I met Monte, & later after a show at "The Classics" near Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland

I'm about due to meet another "celebrity"..
come to think of it...

Celebrity and fame don't get me worked up or impress me. I'm just nosy is all and enjoy the experience of seeing them in the flesh if I happen upon them somewhere. mr.green

if I end up next to a celebrity, I never talk to them, but I have been next to:

Sandra Bullock (on the set of Hope Floats)
Julia Roberts & Lyle Lovett (at a restaurant)
Prince (walked right by him a few times at the celebration)
Woody Harelson (at a film festival party a few weeks ago)
Ice-T (I did talk to him... at a mall!)
Mike Mills (came to visit a roommate of mine at our house)
Rob Thomas (sat by him at a bar)
Matthew McConaughey (before he even acted he was in the same college as me)
Henry Thomas (little boy in ET, video'd his local band for him)

I'm sure I'm forgetting quite a few...
