i'm on my way to work this morning on the bus into NYC and I'm next to this girl who is yapping away about taking some random guy home from the bar--how rude is it--like 60 other people want to hear about this???!!! cell phones should be banned on the bus and subway!

They shouldnt even have to ban it!

People should just have respect for others

around them! That will be the day, huh?

Some people just love to put on a show and draw attention to themselves.

I tried it with a friend once. He went and sat in a jam
packed train and started yapping into his mobile phone.

As time went by he started talking louder and louder and

So then I went over to him, rolled down the window, took
his phone out of his hand and just threw it out of the
window, screaming "AND NOW YOU FUCKING STOP YAPPING!!!".

Fcuz, we had arranged that together, just to see how
people would react.

The whole cart went silent for a few seconds and then
people started applauding and whistling. I got a standing
ovation from them. It cracked us up.

People do hate that kind of irritating behaviour.

I LOATHE cellphones - not so much the gadgets themselves, but the way they've inspired so many people to behave like self-indulgent, boorish, thoughtless BOOBS in public.

I think most cellphone users tend to think that as soon as they get on the line, some kind of magical force field appears around them, immediately separating them from everyone else on the bus/train/street/restaurant/theater/etc, and they therefore have license to be as loud and as inappropriate as they want.

If I'm sitting next to you on the train home from work, I don't want to know about:

* Your relationship
* The relationship of the person you're talking to on your cellphone
* What happened on the most recent episode of The Bachelor
* What you did when you got really, really wasted last weekend
* Your co-workers' bizarre sex lives

But ya know what? When you're sitting right next to me in a crowded train and BARKING this shit into a tiny little gadget, I have no other choice BUT to know about these things.

Hi. I'm still sitting next to you. I still exist, even if you're on the phone. Motorola hasn't invented a way to zap other people for your privacy, sorry.

There's a time and a place for everything, including chatting on your cellphone. Find a bench somewhere. Go to the park. Find somewhere relatively away from the middle of a large group of people. GO HOME.

Nothing's less attractive that someone sucking on the cellular tit.

Forget banning them from the bus, ban drivers from using the damn things while driving. As if there aren't enough accidents on the road without that crap. Either pull the hell over and make your call, or wait until your ass isn't driving. Just stop imposing danger on everybody else like a damn drunk driver.
